| Traditional streets and alleys are valuable assets left over in the process of urban development,cultural relics that are difficult to copy,and basic urban units gradually constructed by different regions and different ethnic groups in the long history of development.Traditional streets not only preserve traditional buildings,historical sites and other material heritage,but also contain folk culture,urban memory and other spiritual heritage formed by different people in different regions in the long historical development process,with distinct regional characteristics and values.As an important part of urban space,traditional streets are an important link between urban memory and contemporary urban life.This thesis takes Baima Temple Lane in Hangzhou as the research object,and summarizes the existence value of traditional residential streets in Hangzhou through in-depth investigation of the current situation and sorting out relevant data.The author hopes that through the renewal of traditional streets and alleys,people’s single cognition of street space will be transformed,in order to provide theoretical and practical reference for the protection and renewal of residential traditional streets and alleys.This article is divided into the following six parts.Chapter one is the introduction,starting from the condition of our country,proposing the purpose and significance of topic selection combined with the current situation of traditional streets and alleys,and analyzing related research on the space renewal of traditional streets and alleys at home and abroad in the form of literature review,defining related concepts and research categories,and doing theoretical accumulation for the later research.The second chapter studies the inhabitation theory and other related theories.Through the analysis of the case,summed up the similarities and differences of street renewal at home and abroad.At the same time,the history of traditional streets in Hangzhou area is combed.The third chapter makes a detailed analysis of the history and spatial status quo of Baima Temple Lane.Through field investigation and questionnaire survey,it summarizes the spatial characteristics and existence value of streets and lanes,and analyzes the existing problems of streets and lanes,thus providing ideas for the design principles and strategies of Houwen street space renewal.The fourth chapter,based on the previous studies,gives play to the role of residential studies in street space renewal and puts forward the principles and strategies of street space renewal design from the perspective of residential studies,providing theoretical basis for the practical chapter.The fifth chapter,based on the previous research,carries on the design practice of street space renewal of Baima Temple Lane.In the last part,through the combination of theory and practice,the thesis summarizes the research on the renewal of traditional street space from the perspective of residential science,and expounds its own views. |
