Preservation And Renewal Research Of The Traditional Streets And Lanes In Old City

The traditional space of street and lane is the unique landscape and urban fabric characteristics of the ancient Yangzhou city. Protecting the space of traditional street and lane is the basic of protecting the historical and cultural city. It should be protected during the development of urbanization.This thesis chooses to do the research on the Renfengli historic blocks in Yangzhou. With a macroscopic view on the history and culture complied with microscopic view on the space, the traditional street and lane in Yangzhou were analyzed. The construction, landscape, spatial form and cultural footprint in the street of the 6th block were investigated and studied. The paper puts forward the macroscopic counter measures and advice to deal with the present problems.This thesis consists of 5chapters.The first Chapter is an introduction, which introduces the background of my choice item, the study object, the content, the basic thoughts and methods of the thesis. It also explains structure of the paper.This second chapter of this paper provides the general definition of the related concept and reviewed the history of the relevant research in this field.In the third chapter, the protection and renewal of street space cases in the domestic and international case was analyzed and concluded.The fourth chapter summarizes the street and lane protection and renewal concept and provides the basic concept for the next chapter.Via field investigation, the current situation and characteristics of No. 06 street (Renfengli Street) in ancient Yangzhou city was analyzed. The concrete protection advice was put forward to the counter problems in the fifth chapter.The sixth chapter reviews problems in the street space renovation of Yangzhou City and concludes most of them as a whole.
