Research On Landscape Enhancement Of Adjacent Green Space Of Classical Garden From The Perspective Of Cultural Genes

Chinese classical gardens have a long history and an important historical and cultural artistic value,originating from nature but higher than nature,and are the mother of the world’s gardens,while they also have an important value and reference for modern gardening activities.The space adjacent to the classical gardens is a special geographical location,close to the classical gardens and the urban public space,and is a transitional space between the urban space and the classical gardens,which has the function of displaying the regional culture and promoting science and popularisation,as well as popularising the regional garden culture to people,so that the classical garden culture can also play a value in modern life.Therefore,the study of the landscape enhancement of the modern park adjacent to the Shengan Gui Lake of the Xishu Garden from the perspective of cultural genes is of great practical guidance.This paper takes Shengan Guihu Lake and its adjacent green space Guihu Park as the research object,studies relevant outstanding cases and summarises the characteristics and functions of classical gardens adjacent to green space.Secondly,according to the current landscape situation of Shengan Guihu Lake and Guihu Park,we summarise the landscape techniques of Shengan Guihu Lake and the problems in the landscape of Guihu Park,and sort out the cultural genes of Shengan Guihu Lake and Guihu Park,construct a cultural genes genealogy map,and then evaluate the cultural genes intensity of Guihu Park and the main landscape nodes and different types of spaces in Guihu Park by means of questionnaire surveys.Finally,based on the previous theoretical study,the focus is on exploring how to apply the cultural genes to the enhancement design of Guihu Park and deriving the corresponding landscape enhancement strategies.The results of this study are as follows:(1)Through the analysis of typical cases,the design positioning and techniques of Ruanhuaxi Park and Suzhou Museum are derived,concluding that the green space adjacent to classical gardens has the functions of transition and articulation of space,cultural heritage and science popularisation as well as public space,and has the characteristics of being an urban public space,facilitating the continuation of regional cultural genes and drawing on the scenic techniques of classical gardens.(2)The analysis reveals that the landscape of Guihu Park is characterised by a lack of interactive experience,cultural elements and atmosphere,a lack of context in the memorial space and a weak sense of continuity for Guihu Lake in Sheng’an.(3)The cultural genes of Shengan Guihu Lake and Guihu Park were studied,and the cultural genes of Shengan Guihu Lake were divided into four categories: important historical and cultural relics,historical and cultural carriers,historical and humanistic genes,and folk cultural genes,and the characteristic cultural genes of Shengan Guihu Lake were analysed to include cultural genes of Guihu Lake and ancient city walls.The Guihu Park,on the other hand,has fewer cultural genes,mainly historical figures and garden landscaping cultural genes.Finally,the evaluation led to the conclusion that the cultural genes of Guihu Park are generally strong,with an average score of 2.6,and there is the problem of fewer cultural elements and a weak cultural atmosphere.Among them,the design of nodes such as Xiu Mei Island,the entrance plaza and Ai Wu’s tomb are more problematic.(4)Strategies for the landscape enhancement of Guihu Park from the perspective of cultural genes are proposed: forming a cultural landscape string structure as a whole,designing diverse cultural activity spaces,designing to integrate diverse cultural genes,and revitalising cultural spaces through intelligent empowerment.Secondly,the spatial integrity of Shengan Guihu and Guihu Park is strengthened through the formation of three axial relationships,and Guihu Park is divided into six functional areas: cultural exposition area,leisure viewing area,cultural memorial area,walking science area,activity viewing area,and interactive experience area.Finally,the design of the Guihu Park entrance plaza,Xiu Mei Island and Ai Wu’s tomb was completed by combining cultural genes and landscape architecture.
