Coiled space extension arm is one of the basic types of space deployable mechanisms and has been widely used in space missions.The research on arm extension is active at home and abroad.The coiled space extension arm has been studied in the 1960 s abroad and successfully applied in space missions.Some domestic scholars also carried out research on the coiled space extension arm in the1990 s,but up to now,there are few aerospace applications of the coiled space extension arm in China.The microgravity environment in space,vacuum conditions and random vibration generated during rocket launch are all issues that need to be considered in the aerospace application of the coiled space extension arm.This thesis firstly combined the research status and practical application scenarios of coiled space extension arm at home and abroad,as well as the demand for the extended-arm supported atom detector proposed in this topic,and then fully analyzed the performance of different types of space extension arm,and finally selected the extended-cable coiled space extension arm scheme with low mass,large folding ratio,high reliability and high structural stability.Finally,according to the existing material properties,a reasonable transverse and longitudinal connection scheme is selected,and the three-dimensional auxiliary design software Solidworks is used to design the detailed structure of the coiled space extension arm.The large deformation of the main material,the nonlinearity of the mechanical state and the complex dynamic effect in the process of the coiled space extension arm from the coiled state to the uncoiled state have always been the research difficulties.In this thesis,the development process of the extension arm is described in detail based on the nonlinear theory of elastic thin rod.In this thesis,ADAMS is used to construct the virtual prototype and simulate the kinematics of the coiled space extension arm designed.Through the simulation analysis,it is concluded that the structure design above is reasonable and can meet the design requirements.At the same time,the modal analysis and harmonious response analysis of the coiled space extension arm under different internal stresses were carried out.The finite element analysis software was used as ANSYS Workbench to check the natural vibration frequency and impact response characteristics of the extension arm.The study of coiled space extension arm in this thesis provides a reference for the subsequent design and research of extension arm.
