Exploration On Rebuilding And Reuse Of Cylindrical Industrial Buildings From The Perspective Of Heritage Protection

Industrial heritage is an important part of China's cultural heritage and it is the material carrier of industrial civilization development,which plays a role in promoting regional economy and social formation.In recent years,China has made some achievements in the protection and reuse of industrial heritage,and the depth and breadth of research are still expanding.However,little research has been done on special types of industrial structures such as cooling towers,silos,water towers,chimneys and cooling towers.Although similar practices have become more and more in recent years,they are still relatively broad in theory and have not been studied in detail and comprehensively.Therefore,taking this as a starting point,this paper puts forward the concept of "cylindrical industrial structure" and studies it as an independent system.Taking the cylindrical industrial structure as the core,the collection,collation and investigation of literature are carried out.Combining with relevant case studies at home and abroad,the concept,types,characteristics and values of cylindrical industrial structures are systematically recognized,and the problems faced at this stage are summarized.On this basis,two reuse modes of function replacement and landscape remodeling are put forward,and the functional adaptability analysis is carried out from three aspects of space,structure and shape.Then the specific transformation methods of internal and external space form renewal are put forward,as well as the relevant transformation technology and reinforcement measures.Last but not least,the transformation methods are tested through participating in the project.From the perspective of heritage protection,this paper makes a thorough and meticulous study of these special types of industrial structures from value evaluation to transformation and utilization,which provides ideas for expanding the theory of industrial heritage research and the methods of old building reconstruction,and has methodological guiding value for similar practical projects.
