Business Performance Evaluation And Improvement Study Of Penghui Energy

With the outbreak of global low-carbon economy and energy storage market,the lithium battery industry has ushered in new development opportunities,competition is also intensified,and stakeholders are increasingly concerned about the business performance of listed companies.Scientific and effective management performance evaluation can not only reflect the current situation and existing problems of the enterprise,but also reveal the future development direction of the enterprise.As a state-level high-tech enterprise,Penghui Energy is in the key industry supported by the state.In the case of a promising development prospect of the industry,the performance of Penghui Energy is not satisfactory.Therefore,the evaluation and research of its business performance and the analysis of its operating status and existing problems can help the enterprise to make self-diagnosis.Find out the main factors affecting the long-term development of enterprises and improve them,so as to enhance the core competitiveness of enterprises.This thesis selects Penghui Energy as the research object,adopts entropy weight TOPSIS method to evaluate its operating performance from both vertical and horizontal aspects.Based on the detailed introduction of Penghui Energy’s general situation and operating performance,combined with the relevant theories of operating performance evaluation and the characteristics of the new energy industry,this thesis selects 20 evaluation indicators from six dimensions of profitability,asset quality,debt risk,operating growth,development and innovation,and strategic management.Set up the operating performance evaluation index system for Penghui Energy.The entropy-weight TOPSIS method is comprehensively applied to conduct a longitudinal evaluation on the operating performance of Penghui Energy from 2017 to 2021,analyze the operating performance results of Penghui Energy,and determine the factors affecting its operating performance: In operating growth,the value and appreciation rate of capital and the growth rate of operating profit have the greatest impact on the operating performance of Penghui Energy,followed by the multiple of surplus cash protection in profitability and the multiple of interest earned in debt risk.Three comparable listed companies in the same industry were selected for horizontal evaluation of business performance,the industry position of Penghui Energy and the gap between Penghui Energy and comparable companies in the same industry were analyzed,and the main problems of Penghui Energy in operation were concluded,such as high dependence on government subsidies,insufficient innovation ability and low conversion rate of research and development.Finally,this thesis puts forward targeted strategies to improve business performance from the perspective of improving profitability,strengthening accounts receivable management and improving strategic development ability.The study of this thesis provides some reference suggestions for the improvement of operating performance of Penghui Energy,in order to help Penghui Energy overcome various difficulties in the development,achieve sustainable,healthy and stable development,and provide reference for the operating performance evaluation of listed companies in the new energy industry.
