With the continuous development of the economy,China’s urbanization process is constantly advancing,but at the same time,there has also been a phenomenon of separation of working and housing,and urban traffic has become increasingly congested.However,if government is only focused on increasing traffic supply and suppressing traffic demand,it cannot fundamentally solve the problem of urban traffic congestion.Vigorously developing public transportation can attract more travelers to shift from private cars to public transportation,thus solving the problem of urban traffic congestion.However,public transportation is mainly aimed at meeting the travel needs of the majority of passengers,and cannot meet the diverse travel needs of some passengers.In order to adapt to the changes in passenger travel needs,customized bus has emerged.However,due to improper operational strategies and unreasonable station planning,the occupancy rate of customized bus routes operating in many regions of China is not optimistic and has not been able to maximize its advantages.Based on this,this article aims to optimize the design of commuter customized bus routes by combining passenger flow characteristics,providing reference for public transportation services and decision-making processes.The main work of this article is as follows:Firstly,based on relevant research literature on customized bus at home and abroad,the relevant theories of customized bus were analyzed and summarized,including the characteristics and classification of customized bus,and the importance of commuter customized bus was pointed out.And the correlation between customized bus and other modes of transportation,and the advantages of customized bus were clarified.On this basis,a customized bus route planning method was determined.Secondly,by combining public transportation IC card and vehicle GPS data,the passenger travel chain was analyzed to obtain urban public transportation passenger flow data,in order to understand the characteristics of urban passenger travel patterns and analyze their spatiotemporal characteristics,laying the foundation for the opening of customized bus.Thirdly,in terms of site selection,K-means clustering algorithm and hierarchical clustering algorithm are combined to make up for the shortcomings of K-means clustering algorithm,and the contour coefficient is used to evaluate the clustering results.Plan reasonable boarding and disembarking stop points.And combined with the vehicle routing problem model,a customized bus route planning model was constructed.From the perspectives of passengers,operating companies,and society,an optimization model was constructed with the objective function of minimizing the sum of passenger travel costs,operating company operating costs,and environmental pollution costs,and constraints such as vehicle occupancy rate,maximum number of vehicles,and route length.Genetic algorithm was used to solve the problem.Finally,taking Shenzhen city as a case study,the bus passenger flow data was obtained and its spatiotemporal characteristics were analyzed.Commuters during the morning peak period were selected as the research object,and Bao’an and Nanshan districts were selected as the study areas for example analysis.The effectiveness of the above model was verified.This method can increase the operating revenue of bus companies and reduce the impact on the environment while ensuring passenger travel efficiency,This provides a good reference basis for the optimization research of customized public transportation network.
