In order to cultivate hazelnut suitable for large-scale cultivation in yanbian area,we used hybrid cultivar C.heterophylla × C.avellana(S1-5)as parents c ross with wild C.heterophylla(6-34-1,6-37-1)good strains from yanbian chang bai mountains,established a F1 progeny to produce more complex separation gr oups.There are 46 F1 progeny populations of C.heterophylla × C.heterophylla× C.avellana hazelnut and 3 parental hazelnuts as the research object,the inv estigation of the plant weight,kernel weight,kernel,nut shell thickness,diamete r,longitudinal diameter 6 nuts morphological indexes,and moisture,soluble sug ar,starch,fat,protein and so on 5 kinds of nutrient content of the data.The s uperior individuals with big fruit weight,high kernel percent,thin shell and rich nutritions was selected,which provided theoretical basis for hazelnut breeding,the results were as follows:1.The morphological indexes of hazelnuts showed significant differences.T he separation range of single fruit weight in F1 generation was 1.214~5.142 g,with an average value of 2.760 g.The separation range of kernel weight ranged from 0.417 g to 1.764 g,with an average value of 1.063 g.The separation ra nge of yield was 29.00~53.08%,and the average was 38.80%.The separation r ange of shell thickness was 1.16~3.07 mm,with an average of 1.96mm.The se paration range of transverse diameter was 12.84~21.56 mm,with an average val ue of 17.46 mm.The separation range of longitudinal diameter was 13.73~26.37 mm,with an average of 18.40 mm.The results of correlation analysis showed that there were significant or extremely significant differences among the six morphological indexes of nuts except that the yield had no significant correlatio n with the single fruit weight,transverse diameter and longitudinal diameter.Th e S1-5 of female parent was higher than that of female parent 6-34-1 in the ge netic transmission of big fruit,and had a higher probability of good fruit weigh t,so it was more suitable for female parent.According to the principal compon ent analysis,the cumulative variance contribution rate of principal components 1,2 and 3 was 89.401%,indicating that these three principal components represe nted the information of nut morphology index 89.401%.Cluster analysis divided 49 hazelnuts into two groups and four subgroups,Ⅰ-1 contains 6-34-1.6-37-1,56-29 and some other 14 plants.Ⅰ-2 contains 55-32,52-26 and some other 5 plants;Ⅱ-1 contains 57-3,57-15 and some other 15 palnts,Ⅱ-2 contains 57-2,56-24 and some other 15 plants.After preliminary analysis,23 superior strains were selected:9-4,57-24,9-2,11-6,50-17,11-5,11-7,9-5,57-7,50-7,50-28,9-3,S1-5,55-28,57-1,57-3,57-6,52-32,52-33,52-34,56-26,56-30,56-34.2.There were significant differences in the contents of water and nutrients in the nuts of 23 selected plants.Its average water content was 3.89%,soluble sugar content 4.63%,fat content 57.53%,protein content 22.79%and starch content 1.19%.The correlation analysis showed that starch content was negatively correlated with soluble sugar and positively correlated with water content.The protein content was negatively correlated with water content,and negatively correlated with fat content.There was a significant negative correlation between fat content and water content.According to the principal component analysis,the cumulative variance contribution rate of principal components 1,2,3 and 4 is 89.607%,indicating that the four principal components can represent the information of 89.607%of the nutritional index.Clustering analysis divided 23 plants into two groups and four subgroups,Ⅰ-1 contains 9-2 and some other 6 palnts,Ⅰ-2 contains 57-3 and some other 6 plants;Ⅱ-1 contains 9-3 and some other 5 plants,Ⅱ-2 contains S1-5 and some other 6 palnts.After analysising,11 superior strains were selected:57-24,50-17,56-26,57-7,52-32,50-28,57-1,11-6,57-6,52-33,9-4.3.Combined with the morphological index and the nutritional compositiont he comprehensive evaluation of principal component,the comprehensive overall evaluation was made on the 23 selected single plants,and the 10 single plants with the best comprehensive characteristics were selected as 57-24,50-17,9-4,57-7,9-2,56-26,9-5,11-6,50-28 and 50-7.
