Establishment And Application Of Sugarcane Germplasm Resource Database

With the increasing amount of crop germplasm resources,the increasingly frequent exchange of germplasm resources and the gradual advancement of germplasm resource utilization,the construction of crop germplasm resource database is crucial to the applied and basic research of crops as well as to the improvement of varieties.In China,there are problems such as the scattered preservation of sugarcane germplasm resources and the lack of standardized processing,resulting in lagging data,weak data information network facilities and difficulties in data sharing and utilization.Therefore,collecting and standardizing existing information on sugarcane germplasm resources,and establishing a query system for sugarcane germplasm resources are important ways to promote the breeding process of new sugarcane varieties,and to improve the utilization of germplasm resources.In this study,the database was developed in Java Script,based on the SSM framework and the TOMCAT runtime environment to establish a query system for sugarcane germplasm information,and is available on the website http://8.142.34.78:81/www/index.html.A total of 1129 germplasm materials of major sugarcane cultivars were collected through literature review,and the germplasm information was standardized,and an open and searchable sugarcane germplasm database was constructed.This database enabled browsing,querying and web interaction of genetic resource information of sugarcane germplasm,drawing a map of sugarcane kinship relationships and distribution of sugarcane breeding germplasm,and giving a comprehensive picture of the distribution and development status of sugarcane genetic resources in China.The establishment of the sugarcane germplasm database will play an important role in scientific research,breeding and popularization of sugarcane germplasm resources.
