Research On The Efficiency Of Dairy Farming In Different Scales In Hebei Province

Dairy farming is an important part of the livestock industry,and research on large-scale dairy farms has long been a hot topic in academia.The reason is that the dairy farming industry is facing a huge market demand,and promoting the high-quality development of dairy farming can,on the one hand,meet the people’s growing demand for healthy dietary consumption,and,on the other hand,is of great significance in enhancing the level of the dairy farming industry and the development of agricultural modernization.Hebei as China’s traditional dairy farming province,dairy farming has experienced a long history of development,traditional farming production conditions and production models limit the development and growth of large-scale dairy farming and quality improvement.With the improvement of the level of agricultural production technology and the promotion of moderate scale operation,dairy farming on a large scale has become the main mode of dairy farming in Hebei Province,due to the different scale of investment and structure of the elements,Hebei has built small,medium,large and 10,000 head ranches and other farms of different sizes.The purpose of scale operation is to improve the economic efficiency of dairy farming,however,in production practice,different farming scale dairy farms often have their own advantages and disadvantages on the economic efficiency of scale operation.In order to better exploit the role of scale operation in enhancing economic efficiency,this paper conducts an in-depth study based on the theory of economy of scale,cost-benefit theory,and agricultural modernization theory to investigate the impact of dairy farming on economic efficiency at different scales,using three different scale farming enterprises in northeastern,northwestern,and south-central Hebei Province as examples.In-depth analyses were conducted on various aspects of scale farming and the refined indicators of economic efficiency to identify the advantages and disadvantages of different farming scales in each subdivision,summarize the current problems of dairy farms of different scales in Hebei Province and propose countermeasures.
