Mineral derived fulvic acid(MFA)is black and mainly comes from peat, lignite, weathered coal, etc.,while biochemical fulvic acid(BFA)is brown and mainly comes from straw sulfonation, food residue, and agricultural by-product fermentation extraction. At present,MFA is widely used in the yellow humic acid fertilizers launched in the market, and their formation is also relatively ideal. They have good effects on crops and have a significant effect on plant growth. However,at present, there are many studies on single yellow humic acid fertilizers or yellow humic acid, and there is relatively little comparative analysis of the effects of different yellow humic acids. The active functional groups, amino acids, hydroxyl groups, carboxyl groups, and other components of humic acid from different sources are different, and their effects on soil properties and crop growth mechanisms are also different. Therefore,it is important to study the effects of humic acid from different sources on crop growth and soil properties. The application of BFA and MFA can effectively increase the commodity rate of potatoes, improve the soil environment, and increase the yield and quality of potatoes. This article applies BFA and MFA to potato ’Netherlands 15’ to study the effects of different sources of fulvic acid on potato growth, development, yield, and quality. It analyzes the effects of BFA and MFA on potato plants and soil improvement, which is of great significance for improving potato yield and quality. This study aims to provide a theoretical basis for the use of fulvic acid in potato production. This experiment used the ’Netherlands 15’ as the experimental material, and studied the effects of different sources and concentrations of humic acid on potato plant height, stem diameter, yield, quality, and soil physicochemical properties under different ratios. The optimal application ratio for potato cultivation was selected, providing theoretical reference for the application and promotion of BFA and MFA in potato planting areas. The main research results are as follows:1.The application of BFA and MFA can both improve the dry weight, plant height, stem diameter, leaf area, and root activity of potato plants. As the proportion of application increases, the effect significantly increases.Among them,in the application ratio of 1000g/mu treatment, compared with the conventional treatment,on the 75 th day,the plant height of BFA and MFA increased by 7.95% and 15.66%,and the leaf area increased by 12.77% and20.09%.During the entire growth process, under the same proportion of application, the mineral yellow humic acid treatment has better effects on increasing leaf area, promoting root vitality, and enhancing plant growth compared to other treatments. The strong photosynthetic capacity of the leaves and vigorous root activity indicate that the plant metabolism is vigorous, which can produce and absorb more nutrients for potato plants.2.The application of BFA and MFA can both improve the yield, commodity rate, and number of clumps per plant of potatoes.Significantly higher than conventional treatment. As the proportion of humic acid application increases, the yield increase effect shows an upward trend.Among them,in the application ratio of 1000g/mu treatment, compared with the conventional treatment, the yield of BFA and MFA increased by 5.32% and 4.54%.During the entire growth process, under the same proportion of humic acid, biochemical humic acid treatment is superior to mineral source humic acid treatment and mixed application treatment.3.The application of BFA and MFA can improve the quality of potato tubers, increase the content of free amino acids, soluble protein,Vc,as well as amylose and branched starch in the tubers. As the proportion of fulvic acid increases, the quality of potatoes significantly improves.Except for amylose and branched starch, the effect of biochemical fulvic acid treatment is higher than that of mineral source fulvic acid treatment and mixed application treatment. In terms of amylose and branched starch, the treatment effect of mineral derived humic acid is better.Among them,in the application ratio of 1000g/mu treatment, compared with the conventional treatment, the free amino acids, soluble protein,Vc,as well as branched and amylose starch of BFA and MFA increased by 16.38%,23.38%,7.42%,10.04%,5.00%,7.32%,7.01%,4.79%,16.63%,and 18.56%,respectively.4.The application of BFA and MFA can both improve soil physicochemical properties. The application of mineral yellow humic acid significantly increases soil p H,and under the same application ratio, the application of mineral yellow humic acid has a more significant increase in soil p H compared to the application of biochemical yellow humic acid treatment. In the mineral source humic acid group, compared with CK,T3 and T4 increased by 2.27% and2.92%,respectively.In the biochemical fulvic acid treatment group, compared with CK,T7 and T8 only increased by 1.21% and 1.67%,respectively.The application of humic acid significantly increases soil conductivity, and the conductivity is positively correlated with the application ratio.Under the same application ratio, the application of mineral humic acid increased soil conductivity more significantly than that of biochemical humic acid treatment. In terms of nitrate nitrogen, ammonia nitrogen, available potassium, and available phosphorus,BFA had a better effect than MFA..
