| Secondary vocational education is committed to cultivating applied talents who adapt to economic and social development,which is an indispensable part of vocational education in China,while secondary vocational agriculture-related majors aim to cultivate a high-quality,professional and skilled talent team for agricultural modernization and rural economic development.However,there are still many problems in the teaching of secondary vocational agriculture-related majors,and a series of policies issued by the state have put forward new requirements for vocational education and teaching.As an important professional basic course of the secondary vocational crop production technology major,"Plant Production and Environment" is the theoretical basis for students to learn other professional courses.Under the guidance of relevant literature research and theory,this study introduces the case teaching method into the secondary vocational "Plant Production and Environment" based on the credit management system and teaching conditions of the internship school "Moral Education Bank",and explores the application effect of the case teaching method in the teaching of this course,so as to try to improve the current teaching status.In this study,a questionnaire survey was conducted and teachers were interviewed by 45 students in the 20 th grade of crop production technology at X Vocational Secondary Professional School in Changde City,and found that there were problems such as low student interest,high difficulty,formal group cooperation,lack of effective classroom interaction and single teaching methods of teachers in the middle vocational "Plant Production and Environment",and traditional teaching methods could not meet teaching needs,and satisfaction needed to be improved.Based on the current problems and deficiencies,the case teaching method is proposed,and the teaching practice of case teaching method in "Plant Production and Environment" is carried out by combining design principles,case collection channels,implementation processes,etc.,taking "temperature regulation of plant production" as an example.The application effect of the case teaching method was evaluated through pre-and post-practice performance tests,questionnaires and interviews.The results show that compared with before the case teaching practice,(1)84.44%of the students said that they liked the class of "Plant Production and Environment",so the application of the case teaching method enhanced students’ interest in learning;(2)91.11% and 86.67% of the students said that they could actively participate in the classroom and learn course knowledge "often" after class,and the case teaching method promoted the improvement of students’ awareness of independent learning and strengthened their enthusiasm for learning;(3)After the case teaching practice,the average score of students increased by 12.45 points,and the pass rate increased by37.8%,and students’ academic performance was greatly improved;(4)The application of case teaching method is conducive to enhancing students’ comprehensive ability,and teaching satisfaction is increased by 44.44%.So,the application of the case teaching method has effectively improved the teaching status of "Plant Production and Environment" in secondary vocational school,improved students’ learning interest,learning enthusiasm,academic performance and teaching satisfaction,promoted students’ independent learning awareness and enhanced students’ comprehensive ability.This study provides a certain reference value for the application of case teaching method in "Plant Production and Environment" in Secondary vocational schools. |
