| With the introduction of the education policy of the Opinions on Promoting the High-quality Development of Modern Vocational Education and the Action Plan for Improving the Quality and Training of Vocational Education(2020-2023),vocational education has highlighted its important position, and improving the quality of secondary vocational education has become an important theme in the development of vocational education. However, through the investigation and research of the current situation of vocational education,it is found that secondary vocational students generally have weak grasp of professional basic knowledge, which seriously hinders the training of skilled talents.Through timely feedback and diversified correction teaching, the "mastery learning" teaching method meets the learning needs of each student as much as possible,so as to help the vast majority of students to master the knowledge step by step in a timely and effective way. Therefore, based on the characteristics of the "mastery learning" teaching method,in combination with the current situation of secondary vocational schools, the "mastery learning" teaching method is applied to the course of "Plant Protection Technology" in secondary vocational schools.Taking a secondary vocational school in Tianshui city as an example,in this study, the teaching status and learning status of “Plant Protection Technology” in secondary vocational schools were investigated through questionnaire survey method, classroom observation and interview. To understand the problems in the current teaching of "Plant Protection Technology",mainly including students’ weak foundation of professional knowledge, lack of learning interest and academic confidence, and lack of good learning habits. Thus,we proposed the application of "mastery learning" teaching method to solve these problems. In combination with the students’ learning situation,we demonstrated the feasibility and applicability of applying the teaching method of "mastery learning".In combination with the content of the “Plant Protection Technology”course and students’ learning situation, based on the content of “Knowing about insects”and “Knowing about plant diseases”,according to the "mastery learning" teaching method,we designed various teaching activities: studying unit characteristics and unit master standard, unit teaching, get feedback information, arrange expanding learning tasks, corrective teaching, parallel test, final test, emotional education and knowledge sharing activities.Through the formulation of unit mastery standards, based on formative tests and parallel tests, students can constantly obtain feedback information on knowledge mastery. On this basis, diversified corrective teaching activities were designed to guide all students to reach the mastery standards step by step. Finally, the teaching effect was evaluated through the classroom observation and the questionnaire survey method. The results indicated that the "mastery learning" teaching method applied to the “Plant Protection Technology” course, not only beneficial to students to fully grasp the knowledge on the whole, and also helpful to improve the students’ interest in learning, enhance students’ academic confidence, help students form good learning habits, improve students’ learning ability. The teaching method of "mastery learning" is applied to the course of "Plant Protection Technology" in secondary vocational schools, and the teaching procedures of timely feedback and diversified correction can guide students to master the knowledge step by step,so as to improve the teaching quality in a large area.In addition,in the process of applying the “mastery learning” teaching method, the following application suggestions are put forward: 1.In combination with online education resources, make full use of the "mastery learning" teaching method;2.Based on the "mastery learning" teaching method, guide students in various ways to further understand what they have learned;3.In the application process of the "mastery learning" teaching method, students are guided to construct the knowledge system independently... |
