Clinical Study On Self-designed Huoxue Qutan Decoction In The Treatment Of Senile Hypertension Complicated With Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus With Phlegm And Blood Stasis

Objective:To investigate the therapeutic effects of self-designed Huoxue Qutan Decoction on blood pressure and TCM syndrome score of patients with senile hypertension complicated with type 2 diabetes mellitus with phlegm and blood stasis.Methods: Between January 2021 and November 2021,seventy senile patients diagnosed with hypertension complicated with type 2 diabetes mellitus in western medicine and syndrome distinction of phlegm and blood stasis in traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)were chosen.The random number table approach was used to group the patients,with 35 in the treatment group and 35 in the control group.The control group was employed Conventional Western Medicine whereas the treatment group received self-designed Huoxue Qutan Decoction in addition to the control group’s treatment.Systolic blood pressure,diastolic blood pressure,24-hour dynamic blood pressure,FPG,Hb A1 c,the curative effect of traditional Chinese medical syndrome and other indicators were recorded before and after treatment and statistically analyzed to investigate the therapeutic effects of self-designed Huoxue Qutan decoction in patients with senile hypertension complicated with type 2diabetes mellitus with phlegm and blood stasis,and to evaluate its safety.Results: According to the benchmark of elimination and suspension,60 patients were actually selected.There were 31 patients in control group and 30 patients in test group.1.In terms of antihypertensive efficacy,blood pressure in the treatment decreased significantly(P< 0.05).2.In terms of 24-hour ambulatory blood pressure observation indicators,the indexes in the two groups after treatment were significantly decreased(P<0.05),and there was no significant difference in 24 h DBP and n SBP between the treatment group and the control group after treatment(P>0.05).3.In terms of the antihypertensive stability,the trough peak ratio in the two groups rised obviously(P<0.05),and the trough peak ratio in the treatment group was more obvious(P < 0.05).4.In terms of hypoglycemic efficacy,2 hours postprandial blood glucose,Hb A1 c and fasting plasma glucose,in both groups decreased significantly after treatment compared with before treatment(P < 0.05),and there was no significant difference in fasting plasma glucose and Hb A1 c between the two groups after treatment(P>0.05).5.In terms of the accumulate points of traditional Chinese medical syndrome,the TCM syndrome score of the two groups decreased significantly after treatment(P <0.05).Comparing the efficacy of TCM syndromes in the two groups,the total effective rate was 96.8%in treatment group,and 90.3% in the control group,indicating that the improvement of curative effect of traditional Chinese medical syndrome in the treatment group was superior to control group(P <0.05).Conclusion: Compared with western medicine alone in treating senile hypertension complicated with type 2 diabetes mellitus(syndrome of Phlegm and Blood Stasis),self-designed Huoxue Qutan decoction has more obvious effects on lowering blood pressure,lowering blood sugar and relieving TCM symptoms,and lowering blood pressure is more stable.6.In terms of MAU control,MAU after treatment decreased significantly in both groups(P < 0.05),but there was no significant difference in MAU between the two groups after treatment(P > 0.05).
