Clinical Study On The Treatment Of Stage 3-5 Chronic Kidney Disease Of Disharmony Of Liver And Spleen And Accumulation Of Toxin-dampness In The Interior With Liansu Chailing Decoction

Objective:The purpose of this study is to observe and evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of Liansu Chailing Decoction in treating chronic kidney disease stage 3-5 of disharmony of liver and spleen and accumulation of toxin-dampness in the interior,and to enrich the ideas and methods of TCM for the diagnosis and treatment of chronic kidney disease.Methods: A total of 66 patients with chronic kidney disease(CKD)stage 3-5of "disharmony of liver and spleen and accumulation of toxin-dampness in the interior" were randomly divided into the experimental group and the control group,33 cases in each group.The experimental group was given Liansu Chailing Decoction and basic western medicine treatment,while the another one was given Niaoduqing granules and basic western medicine treatment.After 8 weeks of treatment,the changes of patients of vital signs,TCM syndrome scores,physical and chemical indexes(including liver and kidney function(ALT,AST,e GFR,Scr,UA,BUN),24-hour urinary protein quantity(24h UPQ),serum albumin(ALB),hemoglobin(HGB),blood lipids(TG,TC,and electrocardiogram,etc.)were used to evaluate the clinical efficacy of Liansu Chailing Decoction.Results: 1.Renal function(Scr,BUN,GFR,UA): After treatment,the effect of the experimental group in reducing Scr,BUN and increasing GFR was significantly higher than that in the control one,P<0.05,while the effect of improving UA was equivalent to that in the control group,P>0.05.2.24 h UPQ:after treatment,it was significantly decreased in both groups,and the difference between groups was statistically significant(P=0.034<0.05).3.Blood lipids(TG,TC): After treatment,the experimental group is stronger than the control group in lowering TG,P<0.05,which is statistically significant,but the overall curative effect of the two groups is similar in lowering TC.4.ALB: After treatment,the increase of ALB in the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).5.HGB: The two groups have the same curative effect in raising HGB level,P>0.05.6.TCM syndrome scores and total effective rate: After 8 weeks of treatment,the scores of TCM syndrome in the experimental group and the control group were significantly lower than those before treatment,all P<0.01;The total effective rate of TCM syndrome score in the two groups was 77.42% and 53.13% respectively,and the comparison between the two groups was P=0.040<0.05,which was statistically significant.7.Comprehensive curative effect of diseases:after 8 weeks’ streatment,the comprehensive curative effect of the experimental group was 93.55% higher than that in the control group(84.38%),and the comparison between the two groups was P<0.01,which was statistically significant,indicating that the comprehensive curative effect of Liansu Chailing Decoction combined with western basic treatment was better than that of the control group in treating CKD stage 3-5 of disharmony of liver and spleen and accumulation of toxin-dampness in the interior.8.Safety observation index: Blood,urine,stool routine and electrocardiogram,ALT,and AST were not significantly abnormal before and after treatment in both groups.Conclusion: Liansu Chailing Decoction can not only significantly improve the clinical symptoms and improve the quality of life of patients with CKD of stage 3-5 due to disharmony of liver and spleen and accumulation of toxin-dampness in the interior,but also reduce the quantitative levels of Scr,BUN,TG and 24-hour urinary protein,and increase GFR and ALB than the control group.There is no adverse reaction in the application of Lianchailing Decoction in this experimental study,and it can be safely and effectively used in clinical treatment to better utilize the advantages of traditional Chinese medicine.
