| Objective:This study observed the clinical efficacy of "Nape Seven Needles" in the treatment of posterior circulation ischemic vertigo and compared with the conventional acupuncture method in the hope of seeking a more convenient and efficient protocol for the treatment of posterior circulation ischemic vertigo. Methods:Sixty patients who met the diagnostic criteria and inclusion criteria for posterior circulation ischemic vertigo were included in this study.Based on the principle of random control, they were divided into a observation group(n=30)and a control group(n=30),and received the "Nape Seven Needles" acupuncture treatment and routine acupuncture treatment, respectively. After continuous treatment for three courses, vertigo traditional chinese medicine syndrome score,Dizziness Handicap Inventory(DHI)score and Transcranial Doppler(TCD)test results were observed before and after treatment in the two groups. The clinical efficacy was evaluated and the differences were compared. Results: 1.Comparison of clinical effects: the total effective rates of the observation group and the control group were 93.33% and 83.33%,respectively.Both treatments had definite effects. The observation group had more advantages and the difference was highly statistically significant(P<0.01).2.Comparison of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)syndrome scores of vertigo: TCM syndrome scores of patients in the observation group and the control group after treatment were significantly lower than those before treatment, and the difference was highly statistically significant(P<0.01).The reduction amplitude of TCM syndrome scores of vertigo in the observation group was better than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).3.Comparison of DHI scores: In terms of total scores, the DHI scores of the observation group and the control group after treatment were significantly lower than those before treatment, and the difference was highly statistically significant(P<0.01).The reducing amplitude of the DHI score of the observation group was significantly better than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P <0.05).In terms of individual scores, the scores of physical, emotional and functional disorders in the observation group and the control group were significantly reduced, and the reduction amplitude of scores in the control group was superior to that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).4.Comparison of transcranial Doppler(TCD)test results: After treatment, the mean blood flow velocity(Vm)of bilateral vertebral and basilar arteries were significantly increased and the pulsatility index was significantly decreased in the observation group and the control group as compared with those before treatment. The difference was highly significant(P<0.01).The improvement of each index in the observation group was superior to that in the control group, and the difference was highly significant(P<0.01).Conclusion:After treatment with "Nape Seven Needles" acupuncture, there is a good clinical curative effect on circulatory ischemic vertigo,in that it can obviously improve the vertigo symptoms and accompanying symptoms of patients, alleviate the vertigo disorder degree of patients, improve the quality of life of patients, increase the velocity of vertebrobasilar artery blood flow, and alleviate the cerebral ischemia state. The overall curative effect is obviously superior to that of the conventional acupuncture group. The therapeutic effect of "Nape Seven Needles" acupuncture on recurrent ischemic vertigo is reliable,it is easy to operate, and high in safety,so it is worthy of clinical promotion and application. |
