Objective To observe the curative effects of acupuncture on posterior circulationischemic vertigo which caused by the stasis of phlegm and blood. Discuss theinfluence of acupuncture on the mechanism of posterior circulation ischemic vertigoaccording to the result of the examination of hemodynamics parameters.Provide gistand method for the clinical treatment. Sought to establish optimal treatment programsand to evaluate its safety.Methods1.From2010April to2011February,we choice100patients whichdiagnosed as posterior circulation ischemic vertigo from the patients in the firstsubsidiary hospital of the college traditional Chinese medicine of henan. Patients withposterior circulation ischemic vertigo were randomly divided into experiment group(n=50)and control group(n=50).The experiment group was treated with acupuncturecombined with oral flunarizine capsules, the contro1group was treated withflunarizine capsules only.2.The otal effective rate, the change of Chinese medicinesyndromes, the liver and kidney function, the hemodynamics parameters wereobserved before and after the treatment.3.At last use Spss17.0software package toanalyze related data and contrast the result. Results we can know that the Chinses medicine syndromes、the hemodynamicsparameters are obviously improved than these before treatment(P<0.05)from theresearch. Total effective rates in control and experiment group were92%and82%,respectively(P<0.05). The Chinses medicine syndromes and blood reduction viscosityof high and low shear rates and plasma viscosity were improved significantly inexperimental group compared with control group.Conclusions1. Acupuncture therapy combined with oral flunarizine capsules has apositive clinical effect, its efficacy was significantly better than the flunarizinecapsules only.2. After acupuncture therapy on patients with ischemic vertigosyndromes has improved significantly, indicating that stasis of phlegm and blood is a core mechanism on posterior circulation ischemic vertigo.3. Acupuncture treatmentmay working by reducing the blood reduction viscosity of high and low shear ratesand plasma viscosity, increasing carotid artery blood flow, and enhancing the clinicalefficacy.
