At the beginning of 2020,the new crown virus swept the world and has not been effectively controlled,which makes public health issues once again heatedly discussed in the discipline of urban planning.The new crown epidemic is undoubtedly a huge disaster for the world,and the actions taken by different countries in the face of the epidemic are also different.This article mainly discusses the process of epidemic development in countries with different anti-epidemic models.By analyzing the relationship between public health and urban planning disciplines,taking China and Canada as two countries with different anti-epidemic models,it sorts out the development of the epidemic in the two countries and compares the two The history of the epidemic in China,summarizes the main problems and causes of urban governance in China and Canada during the anti-epidemic process,and their enlightenment for the post-epidemic era.The epidemic in China occurred at the end of 2019.It first broke out in Wuhan City,Hubei Province.From the lack of corresponding understanding of the virus at the beginning,to the identification of the epidemic by experts after research and judgment,to the comprehensive anti-epidemic from the country and the local government,the epidemic was brought under control and the work resumed and unblocked.Finally,to this day,the normal prevention and control of domestic anti-rebound and external antiimport has made China’s anti-epidemic achieved corresponding success.However,the Canadian outbreak occurred in January 2020,and the first wave of the outbreak was worst in the city of Montreal.From the virus invasion at the beginning,to the local provinces fighting the epidemic,to the economic restart when the epidemic is under certain control,and finally to the second wave,the third wave,the fourth wave...Multiple waves of epidemics have come one after another,and today Canada is Still deeply troubled by the new crown epidemic.This paper sorts out the relevant literature from four aspects: the interdisciplinary research of urban planning and public health,the ancient anti-epidemic related research,the related research in the SARS period,and the existing research on the new crown epidemic.Governance-related research provides theoretical tools.First,review the history of China and Canada’s anti-epidemic history,point out the shortcomings in the two countries’ anti-epidemic work,and find out why China’s anti-epidemic work has achieved results by comparing the similarities and differences between the two countries’ anti-epidemic work.Second,take Wuhan and Montreal as examples,analyze the spatial layout of medical facilities in China and Canada,summarize their respective layout patterns,and analyze the shortcomings of the two countries in the face of the new crown epidemic from the perspective of physical space.Third,from the perspective of urban governance,combined with existing data,starting from the four parties involved in the government,experts,enterprises,and residents,collating the urban governance models of China and Canada for the fight against COVID-19,and conducting a comparative analysis.disparities in epidemic work and the reasons for the disparities.Starting from the history,the paper studies the physical space layout and urban governance model on this basis,and points out the problems and reasons that the spatial layout of medical facilities is unbalanced,and the public participation is not comprehensive in the process of urban governance.The author believes that by reviewing the anti-epidemic process of China and Canada,analyzing the spatial layout of medical facilities,summarizing the urban governance model,and comparing the two countries,it is possible to explain the problems existing in the current anti-epidemic work and the reasons for the problems.Experience,find out practices that can be used for reference and replication,so as to build a scientific and reasonable comprehensive governance system to deal with various major crises that may be faced in the future.
