Objective:By observing the clinical efficacy of abdominal acupuncture combined with body acupuncture in the treatment of convalescent facial neuritis with the purpose of testing its clinical effectiveness.Method: Altogether,90 sufferers who met the criteria were randomly divided into treatment group, abdominal acupuncture group and body acupuncture group with 30 patients in each group. The patients were treated with abdominal acupuncture combined with body acupuncture, abdominal acupuncture therapy alone, and conventional body acupuncture respectively. They are treated 5 days per week for 4 consecutive weeks.Every week is regarded as one course, and the H-B facial nerve grading scale was graded after the end of each course, namely static view score, ambulatory view score, and total score of the facial nerve function were given after the end of the fourth course for efficacy evaluation. The obtained data were analyzed by using SPSS18.0statistical software, then the results and conclusions were gotten eventually.Results:1.There has no statistical significance in the differences of course, age or gender among three groups(P>0.05).2.Comparison of evaluation indexes:The comparison within group:There were differences(P<0.05)in H-B grading, the facial nerve function score of static view, dynamic view, and the total score among each session.comparisons among groups:All three groups showed significant differences(P< 0.05)in the H-B grading scale, the facial nerve function score of static view, dynamic view, and the total score after the 4th session;the overall efficacy of neurological features after treatment in the three groups of patients:83.3% cure rate and 96.7%overall response rate in the treatment group;the healing rate in the abdominal acupuncture group was 46.7%,and the total efficiency was 90.0%;the healing rate of the body acupuncture group was 59.0%,and the total efficiency was 93.1%.The three groups healing rate was significantly different(P<0.05),and the three groups total efficiency has not statistically significant(P>0.05).Conclusions:1.Abdominal acupuncture combined with body acupuncture therapy, abdominal acupuncture therapy alone, and conventional body acupuncture therapy showed significant improvement in facial nerve function of patients with peripheral facial palsy in the recovery period.2.Abdominal acupuncture combined with body acupuncture therapy was significantly superior to the other two therapies in improving the patients’ facial nerve function.3.Abdominal acupuncture combined with body acupuncture for the treatment of facial paralysis in the recovery period can effectively improve the healing rate and the prognosis.
