| Objective:Diabetic nephropathy(diabetic nephropathy,DN)refers to the diabetic microvascular lesions cause kidney structure, function change of a disease,is one of the most important complications of diabetes,is also lead to patients with kidney function damage, increase the risk of death,at present, the pathogenesis of diabetic nephropathy has not been fully clarified. In recent years, studies have shown that Pro-Platelet Basic Protein(PPBP)belongs to the chemokine CXC family and can participate in lipid metabolism, chronic nephritis and other diseases, but its expression and specific mechanism in diabetic nephropathy have not been reported. This study intends to explore the clinical significance of analyzing the correlation with clinical biochemical indicators by monitoring the level changes of PPBP in the serum of patients with type 2 diabetic nephropathy.Methods:Sixty-five patients with type 2 diabetes(Type 2 diabetes mellitus,T2DM)were selected and divided into normal albuminuria(group B),trace proteinuria(group C)according to the urinary albumin/creatinine ratio(ACR).Twenty-eight adult health examinations with matched gender and age were selected as the control group(group A).The serum levels of PPBP in each group were measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent(ELISA),the differences of each group were compared and the correlation between PPBP levels and clinical biochemical indicators were analyzed.Results:(1)Urea nitrogen(BUN),blood creatinine(Scr),and glomerular filtration rate(GFR)were not significantly different in three groups A,B and C;BUN and Scr were significantly higher than A,B and C,significantly significant(P<0.05),and glomerular filtration rate(GFR)was significantly lower than A,B and C,respectively(P<0.05).(2)24h urinary albumin quantification was significantly higher in groups C and D than in groups A and B,different(P<0.05),24h urinary albumin quantification in group D was significantly higher than in group C(P<0.05),and 24h urinary albumin quantification in groups A and B.(3)Serum PPBP levels gradually increased with increasing ACR.PPBP levels wereslightly higher in group B than group A,significant(P>0.05)and PPBP in group C and B(P<0.05),serum PPBP levels in group D were higher than groups A,B and C,both significant(P<0.01).(4)Serum PPBP levels in DN patients were significantly associated with patient course,ACR,24h urinary albumin quantification,BUN,and Scr(P<0.01),and positively associated with glomerular filtration rate(GFR)(P<0.05),nor with age,sex(P>0.05).Conclusion:(1)Serum PPBP in type 2 diabetes patients compared with normal people;(2)serum PPBP;(3)PPBP may participate in the development of diabetic nephropathy and can be used as an early diagnostic marker of DN.serum PPBP can reflect kidney damage of T2DM patients, which is important for the treatment and prognosis of DN patients.. |
