Objective To analyze the prevalence and related risk factors of diabetes and prediabetes among adult residents in a certain district of Hefei so as to provide the basis for prevention and treatment of diabetes. Methods A stratified sampling method was used to randomly select 2774 permanent residents aged>18 years in a certain district of Hefei City.Through the questionnaire survey to understand the general situation, education level and related medical history of the research subjects.Data on height, weight and waist circumference were collected through a physical examination and body mass index(BMI)was calculated.Blood lipid-related indicators and blood glucose-related indicators of the subjects were collected by laboratory detection.Logistic regression analysis was used to analyze the risk factors of diabetes or prediabetes among adults in Hefei.EpiData 3.02 software was used to input the survey data.SPSS 23.0 was used for statistical analysis, and(x±s)was used to describe the measurement data, and the data in line with the normal distribution were compared by variance analysis;the count data was described by[n(%)],and the data between groups was compared by test.Logistic regression was used to analyze the risk factors of diabetes or prediabetes in adults in this area.P<0.05 was considered statistically significant. Results 1.A total of 2785 subjects were included in this survey.According to the exclusion criteria,2774 qualified questionnaires were finally collected. There were 168 patients with DM,the prevalence rate was 6.1%.There were 277 patients with PDM,the prevalence rate was 10.0%.Urban residents accounted for 7.0%of DM patients;Rural residents accounted for 5.1%;The proportion of urban residents with PDM was 12.1%;Rural residents accounted for 7.7%,and the prevalence rate of urban residents was higher than that of rural residents(χ2=32.901,P<0.05).The subjects were aged from 19 to 95 years, with an average age of(44.1±14.5)years.They were divided into five age groups:18 to 29 years old,30 to 39 years old,40 to 49 years old,50 to 59 years old and≥60 years old.The proportion of DM patients was 0.5%,1.3%,5.2%,9.5%and 16.9%respectively;The proportion of patients with PDM was 2.3%,6.8%,8.5%,13.2%and 22.6%respectively.With the increase of age,the prevalence of both increased with the increase of age, reaching the highest among people aged 60 and above.(χ2=88.741,P<0.05)。2.Univariate analysis showed that the age, residence, educational level, family history of diabetes, hyperlipidemia, hypertension,BMI,waist circumference,HDL-C,LDL-C,TC,TG of the subjects were all the influencing factors of DM and pre DM(IFG,IGT,IFG+IGT)(P<0.05).3.Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that age, city, education level,TC,HDL-C,LDL-C,family history of diabetes, hypertension and hyperlipidemia were risk factors for DM(P<0.05);Among them,age,TC,LDL-C,city and education level are positively correlated with DM,HDL-C,no family history of diabetes,no hypertension,no hyperlipidemia risk factors are negatively correlated with DM,and HDL-C is a protective factor for DM,and the risk of DM in people without related basic diseases or family history is significantly reduced.Age,city, education level,TC and family history of diabetes were also risk factors for PDM(P<0.05).Among them,age,TC,LDL-C,BMI,city,and education were positively correlated with PDM,while no family history of diabetes was negatively correlated with PDM,and the risk of PDM without family history of diabetes was significantly reduced. Conclusion There are significant differences in the prevalence of diabetes and prediabetes among people of different ages and regions. The elderly and urban residents are the key prevention and treatment groups. For controllable factors, weight, blood pressure and blood lipids should be actively controlled, and people with related risk factors should strengthen management and early intervention to reduce the prevalence of diabetes and pre diabetes.
