Objectives: The aim of this study is to compare the clinical efficacy of acupotomology combined with MET manipulation and block therapy in terms of pain relief, range of motion and quality of daily life in patients with lateral epicondylitis. The purpose of this study is to apply the theory of "bone malocclusion, tendon groove" and "fascia chain" to treat the lateral epicondylitis of the humerus by acupotome and MET manipulation, put forward a new treatment concept, and try to combine a variety of effective treatment methods, which can provide a better and more effective new idea for the clinical treatment of lateral epicondylitis. Methods: From September 2021 to October 2022,60 patients with lateral epicondylitis who met the diagnostic criteria were selected from the First Department of Orthopedics,Department of Sports and Arthropathy and Department of Orthopedics of Jiangxi Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine.Patients were randomized into a trial group(needle knife plus MET)and a research group(block therapy),with 30 patients in each group.Conduct observational studies. The basic information of60 patients was recorded, including age, course of disease, gender, etc.VAS(Visual Analogue Scale)and Mayo(Elbow Function Score)are evaluated in detail before treatment.VAS scores and Mayo scores were recorded 3weeks after treatment, after treatment and 1 month with follow-up.SPSS26.0 software was used to compare and analyze the clinical efficacy of acupuncture combined with MET manoeuvre and block therapy, and evaluate the difference between the two.Results:1、 After statistical comparison, the results of baseline data analysis(including sex characteristics, age, disease course,pre-treatment VAS score and pre-treatment Mayo scale score)of the experimental group and the control group(P>0.05)showed that the baseline data of the two groups were not statistically significant, and the next step could be compared.2、 VAS scores: After comparing VAS scores before and after treatment, there was a significant significance in both groups(P<0.05),suggesting that acupuncture combined with MET manoeuvres and block therapy could significantly improve the symptoms of patients with lateral epicondylitis. The results of both groups were statistically significant(P<0.05),indicating that acupuncture combined with MET was superior to blocking therapy.3、 Mayo score: After comparison of Mayo score, the follow-up data of the two groups 1 month after cure proved that acupotomy combined with MET manipulation and block therapy could significantly change the condition of the patients with lateral humeral epicondylitis, and the follow-up results showed that this change was not sustained and repeated.Through statistical analysis, the follow-up results of the two groups of patients one month after treatment showed significant statistical difference(P<0.05),which indicated that the therapeutic effect of acupotomy combined with MET manipulation was higher than that of simple block therapy, and had higher clinical application value.4、 After a series of clinical trials, the total effective rate of the experimental group reached 93.33%.The total effective rate of the control group was 76.67%,the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P <0.05).Conclusions:1、 Acupotomy combined with MET manipulation and block therapy can both improve the activity limitation and pain of patients, and can effectively improve the quality of daily life of patients.2、 The clinical efficacy of needle knife combined with MET is better than that of block therapy, and the curative effect is longer, more stable and more effective, and has fewer side effects.
