In recent years,educational informatization and collaborative teaching have given birth to the teaching mode of distance collaborative simultaneous classroom based on Internet and information technology.Simultaneous classroom aims to break the limit of time and space,optimize the arrangement of teachers,and share high-quality teaching resources,to ensure education fairness and improve the quality of education.Based on the Internet,the real-time teaching of the simultaneous classroom has been applied in many subjects,which is becoming an effective way to share high-quality education resources.In the transformation of university talent training mode,art education as an important part of comprehensive quality education has been paid more attention.University music general education is a branch of art general education in common universities which is an important starting point in the implementation of art education in common universities.Common university music general education includes "Music Appreciation","Introduction to Music Appreciation",etc.However,few colleges and universities have designed a music general education course as a quality course.Problems in music general education include big differences between universities and the uneven distribution of educational resources.Therefore,it is urgent to conduct cross-regional and cross-university collaborative teaching.As a result,the synchronous classroom is adopted to promote the circulation and sharing of high-quality music education resources,which becomes an effective way to improve the music general education result.At present,the music general education course synchronous classroom of inter university cooperation is less,still in the experimental stage,lack of detailed demonstration of teaching effect.So it is urgent to carry out the research on the effectiveness of university music general course synchronous teaching.As one of the first batch of China’s’ education informatization pilot universities,Central China Normal University has cooperated with Taiwan Normal University since 2013 to apply simultaneous classroom mode in "Music Appreciation",which has opened a new vision for university music education and deepened the cross-university cooperation and cross-straits exchanges.To realize the sustainable development of the synchronous classroom of university music general education and improve the teaching result,it is necessary to carry out research on its effectiveness of teaching,to fully understand the current situation,existing problems,and formulate optimization strategies.The music general education course"Music Appreciation" which is jointly carried out by Central China Normal University,Taiwan Normal University and Taiwan Chengchi University is the research object to understand the actual situation of the simultaneous classroom of "Music Appreciation".Questionnaire,interview,and classroom observation were adopted for a comprehensive and comparative analysis to understand the current situation of the distance synchronous music classroom.Based on the survey results on the effectiveness of synchronous classroom teaching,this paper summarizes the existing problems in teaching from real data.From the aspects of students,teachers and educational intermediary system,the factors impacting the effectiveness of the synchronous classroom "Music Appreciation" is summarized.An optimization scheme of the synchronous classroom is proposed to improve the teaching result.We provide a reference for the realization of information-based effective teaching of university music courses and the development of synchronous teaching mode of university general education of music.
