| This paper discusses the theory of self-cultivation presented by the Confucianists in guodian, with the chapters of "Xing Zi Ming Chu","Wu Xing" and "Liu De" as the main research objects. In terms of time,Guodian Confucian Bamboo Slip was after Confucius and before Mencius, and its thought and theory had prominent transitional characteristics.Guodian Confucian Bamboo Slip saw the important role of mind, nature and emotion in human beings, showed a material-heart-feeling-nature human nature development route, and saw the interaction between heart and disposition. However,as a whole,Guodian Confucian Bamboo Slip still follows the path of natural human nature theory,so the path of internal modification of Guodian Confucian Bamboo Slip is not very perfect. The internal modification method of Guodian Confucian Bamboo Slip is mainly aimed at the mind.Guodian Confucian Bamboo Slip put forward the concept of "Shen Du",which is well known to the later generations, but this "Shen Du" is different from that in "The Doctrine of the Mean" and "The Great Learning".In a word, the means of cultivating one’s morality in Guodian Confucian Bamboo Slip is based on education.Guodian Confucian Bamboo Slip the role of music education and moral education, and put forward the method of correcting emotion by music and the method of correcting body by ceremony. However,it is not difficult to find that the content of external teaching of guodian Confucianism focuses on the mind and emotion, which lays a certain foundation for the development of the complete theory of mind and the path of internal cultivation of later confucians.Guodian Confucian Bamboo Slip also shows the two paths of Sageliness Within and Kingliness Without in the purpose of cultivating one’s morality. On the one hand,Guodian Confucian Bamboo Slip believes that after cultivating one’s morality, people can each secure his position and maintain the stability of the human relations order. On the other hand,Guodian Confucian Bamboo Slip finds the difference between humanity and the way of heaven, and believes that the purpose of cultivating one’s morality cannot only stay at the level of good, but should strive to get close to the level of holy.On the whole,Guo Dian’s theory of self-cultivation of Confucianism shows the characteristics of The Importance of Qing and setting one’s mind by practice, which is unique in the theory of self-cultivation of Confucianism in the pre-Qin period. |
