| In the development history of Chinese paintings,the female image has always been the main motif in Chinese paintings,because the female image in paintings can not only render people visual aesthetic feeling,but more importantly,it can reveal the life and mental state of female at that time,the relationship between female and society,the aesthetic concept of the time in which they live,and related social conditions.Selecting the aesthetic purport of female images in the paintings of the Tang and Song Dynasties for research is because painters in the Tang and Song Dynasties have strong representativeness and innovation in artistic expression methods such as image shaping and spiritual communication among traditional Chinese figure paintings.Meanwhile,the female images in the paintings of the Tang and Song Dynasties have their own distinct characteristics.Through the study of the aesthetic characteristics of the female figures,this study hopes to reveal the underlying social problems about female behind the paintings,and the ways for painters to present the social reality at that time through the paintings,thus providing some enlightenment and benefit to the creation of Chinese paintings nowadays.There are many studies on the stylistic characteristics of female images in the paintings of the Tang and Song Dynasties and the aesthetic characteristics of female images in these paintings.However,most of these studies only discuss the aesthetic issue of female images from the perspective of modeling,and rarely analyze this issue from the perspectives of their living conditions and aesthetic roots in combination with the political,economic and cultural factors at that time.In view of this,this paper mainly adopts the research methods of literature analysis,iconology research,comparative research,work analysis and on-the-spot investigation,and discusses the aesthetic purport of female images in the paintings of the Tang and Song Dynasties combined with the author’s painting experience and cognition.Meanwhile,it deeply explores the relationship between female spiritual outlook and social conditions in the Tang and Song Dynasties,which is the research feature of this paper.The whole paper is elaborated through four major aspects.First,it introduces the aesthetic changes of female images in Chinese traditional paintings.Second,it analyzes the reasons why the female images in the paintings of the Tang and Song Dynasties have different styles.Third,it deeply explores and demonstrates the aesthetic purport of female images in paintings from the aesthetic characteristics of female images and the painting language of female images.Finally,it investigates the social significance reflected by the aesthetic purport of female images in the paintings of the Tang and Song Dynasties,and the enlightenment it brings to the creation of current Chinese paintings.This paper holds that the female images in the paintings of Tang and Song Dynasties have their own spiritual outlook and aesthetic features under the influence of different times and various social factors.Exploring the painting expression method of the relationship between the aesthetic purport of female images and the social situation at that time can provide methods and ideas for the creation of contemporary Chinese figure paintings.At the same time,it is also a way to inherit,develop and innovate Chinese paintings. |
