The Research Of Song Siren And His Poem

Song Siren(1730-1807)was a Suzhou literati who was active in the Qianjia periods of Qing Dynasty.His poems enjoyed a certain reputation at that time.but the later research was almost blank.Therefore,this paper will take Song Siren’s existing anthologies Youfangshichao,Guangyuyingao(《有方诗钞》、《广舆吟稿》)and his poems in the anthology Xianglihegao(《湘漓合稿》)as the main research object,with the assistance of other relevant historical materials and text materials,make certain in-depth analysis of his family environment,official experience,literary activities and poetic works.This paper is divided into five chapters:First,Song Siren’s family and his experience.In the early and Qing Dynasty,Many literary masters in the south often came from same family,The Song clan was also a well-known family of literature in Suzhou.For the scholars at that time,the family was the origin and foundation for them to learn knowledge and understand the world.Therefore,they were deeply influenced by family.The whole culture of the family played an important role in the cultivation of individual.This chapter mainly gives a brief introduction to Song’s family,and combs Song Siren’s life in detail,paving the way for a specific image of Song Siren.Second,Song Siren’s friends.This chapter is based on Song Siren’s poems and about his communication with others.Combined with his family relationship and official travel experience,this chapter makes a detailed analysis of his literary communication,which,according to the relationship between his friends and him,can be divided into five parts:family friend,neighborhood and in-law,cousin,schoolmate and official career friend.Third,the creation and style of Song Siren’s poems.Song Siren’s poems not only a rich subject matter,but an abundant connotation,which reflect intensively his whole life and his knowledge and thoughts.The first part of discusses the subject matters of Song Siren’s poems,which is divided into three categories:endemic poetry,brigade poetry,painting poetry.The second part generalizes the style of Song Siren’s poems.One is beautiful and elegant,graceful and delicate.The other is sentimental and depressed,plain and vigorous.On the basis of Song Siren’s poems,this chapter gives a detailed analysis of contents,feelings and styles.Forth,the causes and poetics of Song Siren’s poems.The first part of this chapter discusses the causes of Song Siren’s poems.It describes in outline the influence of the affair in his times,prose-styled poetry,and the trend of following Du Fu.The second part generalize the poetics of Song Siren from relevant information as far as possible.The poetics of Song Siren which are advocate nature and place a high value on disposition at poems.And he also criticizes poems with character.
