A Collection Of Explanations On The Bamboo Slips Of The Warring States Period Collected By Tsinghua University X And A Study On Related Issues

The tenth volume of The Bamboo Slips of the Warring States Period Collected by Tsinghua University has been published in the second half of 2020,and this volume contains a total of five documents,namely“Sigao(四告)”,“Sishi(四时)”,“Sisui(司岁)”,“Xingcheng(行称)”,and“Medical Recipes(病方)”.The“Sigao”is the literature similar to shang shu,while the“Sishi”,“Sisui”and“Xingcheng”are calculations and arts(数术)texts,and the“Medical Recipes”belongs to recipes and techniques(方技).The content of the literature of this volume is both important and diverse,presented with words and dictions which are archaic and abstruse.It still requires further studies to promote a comprehensive understanding and reveal the explicit significance of these texts.The thesis consists of three parts:the introduction,the main research part and the conclusion.The first chapter is a collection of explanations on five documents.the second chapter is the study of three items from Sigao,the first of which is to reveal the characters that contain the factors originating from an archaic script in the manuscript of Sigao,while the second focuses on the character“yan()”in the Sigao and other related forms,as well as an explanation of a soothsayer’s name in Xincai Bamboo Slips.The third section provides a supplementary explanation of the character“dan(但)”in the Sigao.The third chapter is the study of the text“Sisui”,with three sections focusing on the relevant dates of the“Liuchen(六辰)”,the adjustment of the sequence of the“Erjian(二闲)”and the operation of the“liangchen sisui(两辰司岁)”.
