Contemporary Female-themed Film Creation And Narrative Research

Entering the new century,women’s social status,values,and emotional world have received more and more attention from society.With women’s self-awakening and self-liberation,contemporary women’s self-awareness and social status are gradually improved,and are reflected in all areas of social life.As a comprehensive art that carries the concept of the times and social ideology,when it presents the theme conception and narrative expression that is in line with the times,it also creates many female images with the characteristics of the new era,making women-themed films popular.Audience favors.This article will draw on the theoretical research of the predecessors,combined with my creative practice film Mask,to discuss the creation and narrative strategies of contemporary female-themed films.First,in the first chapter,the background and research significance of this article are sorted out,from the popularity of "her economy" to the awakening of women’s consciousness and other social contexts;secondly,the second chapter presents the theme of women-themed films,from the self-expression of the characters’ inner world,the reshaping of women’s social identity,and the gender differences in real life.The author analyzes the creation from two perspectives of contrast.Finally,in the fourth chapter,from the three theoretical levels of narrative structure,narrative perspective,and narrative means,the creation and analysis of the narrative expression of female-themed films is carried out.
