Unlike cities and villages, which are constantly in a network of power and relationships, the unique topography and style of mountains become an important place to escape from the secular world, and the life world in mountains becomes another space different from cities and villages.Since Ming and Qing Dynasties,a large number of groups have come to live in Mount Huang. These groups can be divided into three categories:religious monks, literati and local mountain people. These mountain dwellers are either for Buddhist meditation or for writing books, which constitute a rich aspect of the living world in Mount Huang. From the perspective of regional social history and daily life history, this paper explores the formation process of the living world in Mount Huang,as well as the communication and contact between the world in Mount Huang and the world outside the mountain.First of all, through the investigation of the living places of Mount Huang,it can be seen that the landscape elements of the living world in the mountain, such as stone chambers, nunneries, monasteries, jungles and other buildings, are gradually added in the natural forest. This process is not only a process of rich life in the mountains, but also a process of Mount Huang gradually being developed.Secondly, the material resources in Mount Huang are the main means of making a living for the residents of Mount Huang, and the donations of Huizhou merchants also provide an important economic source for the residents of Mount Huang.Performing law, quieting the Lord, purifying business and lecturing scriptures are the daily life of monks. They play, write books and lecture, which constitute the daily life world of literati.Although monks and literati are different in identity, experience and culture, they share the space in Mount Huang.Thirdly, the life world in Mount Huang is never an isolated peach flower source. The formation of the life world in Mount Huang depends on the influence and support of the world outside the mountain.Mount Huang residents and mountain people, scholars, officials, court and other groups formed a circle of contacts, making the mountain world and the outside world have a direct contact. For various purposes, the residents of Mount Huang form Tiandu Association and other associations, and take on the responsibilities of reception, social intercourse, assembly, help and so on,becoming an important channel of contact with the outside world. Finally, the mountains are also a competition for power and profit. The battle between Ziyun Nunnery and Ciguang Temple for pilgrims reflects the competition of interests in Mount Huang.During the changing dynasties of Ming and Qing Dynasties,a large number of Ming people lived in seclusion in Mount Huang, and the ambivalence between the Mount Huang reclusive people and the new government reflects the identity definition and identity of Ming people in the Qing Dynasty. |
