The Chifeng and Tongliao regions of Inner Mongolia are the birthplaces of the Qidan ethnic group in Liao Dynasty(907-11125).The Qidan ethnic group was once active in Huangshui and Tuhe(now Xilamulun and Laohahe),and was one of the important ethnic minorities in the north of ancient China.Inner Mongolia region is also known as the Qidan "Longxing place." Liao Dynasty created a new political system here,opened up the Silk Road,and promoted cultural exchanges and integration.In recent years,with the development of archaeology,Chifeng City and Tongliao City in Inner Mongolia have become the birthplace of Liao cultural heritage.The Khitans left behind a large number of historical relics such as pagodas,temples,tombs,brick carvings,stone carvings,murals,music and dance pictures,which truly and vividly recorded the social conditions and music history of that particular period,and are of great historical value and music research value.is precious.However,most of the research on this subject is aimed at the investigation and exploration of the music and dance pictures of Liaoling tomb and the music and dance pictures of Hebei and Liaoning areas,but the research on the music and dance pictures of Inner Mongolia area is less.As an important carrier of Liao music and dance images,the material cultural remains in the eastern part of Inner Mongolia play an indispensable role in the study of music history.Therefore,this article takes the study of the Eastern Dance in Inner Mongolia as the point of cutting people,on the basis of the previous research results,through consulting archaeology,historical materials,using the methods of field investigation,document research and image research,from the angle of musicology,The article focuses on the human environment in the eastern part of Inner Mongolia in Liao Dynasty,the distribution of the music and dance images of the important parts of the Qidan music culture,the types and forms of musical instruments with unique regional and ethnic characteristics,the expression contents of music and dance images,the combination forms of orchestras,and the cultural and hierarchical characteristics of music and dance images.The author makes a detailed study and analysis in order to understand the social and cultural living environment,the feudal hierarchy,the status of religious belief,the economic development and the important musical and cultural exchanges among the various ethnic groups in the ancient Liao State.It also has a deep,accurate,and specific grasp of the pluralistic cultural characteristics and times characteristics of the Liao Dynasty,and the collation of the Liao Dynasty music and dance images fills in the absence and shortage of historical documents on the records of the eastern region of Inner Mongolia in the Liao Dynasty.It provides a basis for discussion,reference and some historical materials to study the development of Liao Dynasty music culture.Once again,Biao pays tribute to its outstanding cultural heritage.
