Lao-zi is also known as the Tao Te Ching."Dao" explains the evolution of the universe;"Dao" is beginning with "You" and "Wu", including large numbers of naive dialectics perspective and a lot of people’s livelihood thoughts. That haves a profound impact on the development of Chinese philosophy. But Lao-zi also made highlight of contribution in literature level, including the literature forms, its literature style using of literature practices, and text using practices. It needs us to do further research and discussion. Because of the lack of this aspects research, this paper tries to discuss the literature forms of Lao-zi, to show the important position of literature of Lao-zi.This paper attempts to explore Lao-zi from the shallower to the deeper. The paper is divided into five parts. The first part describes the study motivation, clarified the scope of the study and methodology. The Biography of Lao-zi and the book of Lao-zi are discussed. In the second part of the study, we research the derivative sound complex word forms No Repeat, No use verse forms and other rhyme forms, analysis the influence of Lao-zi on literature of later ages. Third part shows the antithesis and parallelism forms of Lao-zi. The fourth part is a poetry forms discussion, with the dual ranking form with characteristics of Lao-zi in the context of the art of rhetoric. Fifth part of the paper text shows further depth research of Lao-zi in the form of analogy, combined with the parable of Zhuang-zi.Literary forms of Lao-zi have played an important role in Lao-zi’s conception, such as "Dao" and "nature". Based on this, Lao-zi is been constantly interpreted for thousands of years. Above all, the literary forms of Lao-zi had a significant impact on later literature, especially on pre-Qin literature. Lao-zi is an integral important part of literary history.
