Research On The Design Innovation Of Chinese Traditional Thread-Bound Books Form In Modern Book Binding

As a unique form of book binding for the Chinese people,the traditional Chinese wire-bound book is an excellent representative of traditional Chinese culture.As the last form of ancient book binding,wire-bound books are enduring and culturally rich,and enjoy a worldwide reputation as the symbol of "Chinese books" and the most advanced form of binding in ancient China.By analyzing the development history,form structure and binding process of wire-bound books,this thesis explores the diversified trend of combining traditional wire-bound books with modern bookbinding;by using modern techniques and materials for creation,it will provide guidance to meet the needs of modern aesthetics and thus promote the modernization and diversification of wire-bound books.This thesis looks at the structure,materials,and binding of traditional wire-bound books to find a breakthrough in combining them with modern book design,and to explore and practice wire-bound books from different perspectives,such as binding holes,binding lines,and binding functions.Among them,we focus on the changes of "holes" and "lines".With the improvement of printing technology,the diversification of binding methods and the emergence of new materials,this provides a variety of possibilities for innovative research on the design of traditional Chinese wire binding in modern book binding.After analyzing and thinking about actual cases,the author has been able to integrate traditional wire binding methods with modern books organically and present them as specific design solutions from a new perspective.This makes the wire-bound books both contemporary and dynamic,and provides some theoretical basis and practical reference that can be drawn on for the subsequent design innovation of wire-bound books.In the fast-changing information age,we should recognize the cultural value of wire-bound books while inheriting excellent culture,and at the same time open our eyes,draw on the wisdom of the ancients,fully explore the uniqueness of contemporary wire-bound book binding design in terms of function,creative skills and aesthetic value,and use modern symbolic language to enrich our creation.Let the unique binding method of wire-bound books emit eternal artistic brilliance in contemporary book binding design.However,at present,the traditional wire binding form can no longer adapt to the development requirements of the new era,and the development of wire-bound books needs to be further enriched.Innovative wire-bound book design will inject new blood into the traditional wire-bound book and stimulate its development potential.
