According to the China Internet Network Information Center,there will be 183 million underage Internet users by 2020 in China,with Internet penetration reaching 94.9 percent and82.9 percent of them owning their own Internet equipment.With the rapid development of the Internet,the problem of teenagers’ Internet addiction is becoming increasingly prominent.In addition,affected by the epidemic in recent years,young people use the Internet more frequently.Due to the immature psychological development of this group of people,lack of self-control,and curious about external things,it is more likely to appear Internet addiction.Internet addiction brings a lot of harm to teenagers from physical,psychological and behavior.Therefore,it is necessary to prevent and improve adolescent Internet addiction.Junior high school is a critical period for individual physical and mental development.During this time,teenagers’ attachment objects gradually shift from parents to peers,and they are more inclined to tell their troubles to peers and relieve pressure.Attachment theory holds that individuals with a high level of peer attachment can alleviate the negative effects brought by the network,and peer attachment is effective as a protective factor against adverse risks.Therefore,this study,from the perspective of peer attachment,combined with social anxiety and self-control,explores the internal mechanism of peer attachment on Internet addiction,in order to put forward suggestions on preventing and alleviating Internet addiction of junior high school students from a new perspective.750 junior high school students in Xiaogan City,Hubei Province were surveyed by questionnaire.After data collation and analysis by SPSS23.0,the research results are as follows:(1)The Internet addiction behavior of junior high school students is significantly different in gender and grade.The addiction degree of male students is higher than that of female students,and the addiction level of junior high school students is higher than that of junior high school students.(2)There are significant differences in the peer attachment level of junior high school students in terms of gender,grade and whether they are the only child.Specifically,the attachment level of female students is higher than that of male students,the attachment level of non-only children is significantly higher than that of only children,and the trust and communication level of junior high school students is significantly higher than that of junior high school students and junior high school students.(3)Peer attachment has a significant negative correlation with Internet addiction behavior,and has a negative predictive effect on Internet addiction behavior.(4)Self-control partially mediates the relationship between peer attachment and Internet addiction,and social anxiety partially mediates the relationship between peer attachment and Internet addiction.Peer attachment predicted Internet addiction by influencing social anxiety and then self-control.
