The purpose of this study is to investigate the status of cyber relational addiction among public and private schools in junior high schools in Shenzhen, and to explore the influence of big five personality dimensions and self control on cyber relational addiction, and try to establish relevant prediction and mediation models.Research method: In this study,2000 questionnaires were sent out, excluding extreme and abnormal values,1482 valid questionnaires were left,to investigate the Internet relationship addiction,Big Five personality,Self-control of students in grades 7 and 8 in private and public junior high schools.Using the realted statistical methods including descriptive statistics, differential test, correlation analysis, regression analysis and mediation analysis to comprehensively analyze the questionnaires, research and analysis results are as follows:(1)The high score population of cyber relationship addiction is in a moderate range.(2)Refer to the score of cyber relational addiction, boys are significantly higher than girls. And there were no significant differences between grades and school nature. There was no significant difference between one-child and single parent, and different family monthly incomes. However, the relationship of internet addiction involvement was significantly higher in the seventh grade than in the eighth grade.(3)The self-control scores of middle school students were not significantly different between different genders, school characteristics, grade levels, only one child or not, single parental status, and family monthly incomes.(4)Extraversion,Openness and Cyber relational addiction do not have significant correlation;there is a significant negative correlation between agreeableness and cyber relational addiction(r=-0.155,p<0.01);Conscientiousness was significantly negatively correlated with cyber relational addiction(r=-0.197,p<0.01);There was a significant positive correlation between neuroticism and cyber relational addiction(r=-0.327,p<0.01);there was a significant negative correlation between self-control and cyber relational addiction(r=-0.404 p<0.01)(5)Neuroticism has a significant positive predictive effect on cyber relational addiction(β=0.300,p<0.01),conscientiousness has a significant negative predictive effect(β=-0.118,p<0.01),and extraversion is significantly positive predictive effect on cyber relational addiction(β=0.142,p<0.01).Meantime agreeableness has a significant negative predictive effect(β=-0.130,p<0.01)on predictability. But the openness had no significant predictive effect on cyber relational addiction(β=0.013,p >0.05).Self-control has a significant negative predictive effect on cyber relational addiction(β=-0.404,p<0.01).(6)Self-control plays a partial intermediary role between extraversion, conscientiousness, neuroticism and cyber relational addiction, and it plays a complete mediating role between agreeableness and cyber relational addiction. Conclusion: There is no wide range of cyber relationship addiction phenomenon in Middle school students.Neuroticism plays a partial mediating role in the impact between the relationship of self-control and Internet addiction. The effect of self-control on the addiction to network relationships has not been fully or partially effected through extraversion, appetite, discretion, and openness. While improving self-control,by controlling the impact of neuroticcism impulses, the degree or tendency of Internet addiction can be reduced to some extent.
