| This practice report is based on the remote classroom interpreting project“Country Music Appreciation” of Guangxi Arts University,in which the author participated from November 11,2021 to November 15,2021,and the practice involved Chinese-English bidirectional interpreting. The author focused on the transmission of meaning rather than structure or form in interpreting practice, and the core of the Interpretive Theory is to get rid of the shell of the source language and transmit the core meaning,so the author believes that this theory can help in analyzing the interpreting process.Based on the perspective of the Interpretive Theory, this report has selected typical cases from the practice of distance interpreting.A careful analysis has shown that: Firstly, the Interpretive Theory can be used effectively in the analysis of the process of consecutive interpreting in music-related subject.Secondly,in order to improve the effect of remote video interpreting, the author has summarized his own interpreting experience and summarized the following experiences for reference:(1)For culture-loaded words or semantically unclear sentences, the interpreter can use the interpreting method of paraphrase to make them understandable to the audience.(2)To increase the efficiency of information transmission, the interpreter can condense the expression in the source language by omitting redundant information.(3)For passages with unclear logic or information that does not match the target language after direct interpretation, the interpreter can add words to clarify the information to be expressed in the source language so that the speaker’s intention is clearly conveyed.Through the practical review, analysis and conclusion of this report, the interpreter expects that this report can serve as a reference for related interpreting learners and researchers. |
