In recent years, with the deepened trend of globalization and international academic exchanges,China has continuously worked on the construction of world-class universities for the increasing willingness of the world to know about universities in China. It is important to project a more positive image for Chinese universities and win the attention and recognition internationally, which poses a challenge for the publicity work of universities. The rising of eco-translatology provides a novel angle for the research of university texts. It guides the translation from the translator’s perspective through multidimensional transformation instead of struggling between literal or free translation, which allows translators to make adaption and selection in a more macro way.The report is divided into four parts: First,it describes the task, mainly including the background, the characteristics of text and the significance of the practice;Part two introduces the translation process, including terminology review, content selection, and post-translation work;Part three selects specific translation examples for analysis. With its “three-dimensional conversion”analysis, the translator tries to choose the correct translation strategy through the adaptation and selection to ensure the quality of the translation. The last part summarizes experience and shortcomings, the report concludes that the best translation is based on the comprehensive analysis of the source and target language as well as adaption and selection from the translator. The report also seeks to provide reference for the translation of publicity materials of colleges and universities.
