Chinese national culture covid-19 has China’s unique ethical character, and it is deposited in the historical logic of the internal ethical logic of Chinese people’s social activities consciously or unconsciously. The influence of cultural ethics on social practice has played a positive role in promoting China’s fight against Corona Virus Disease 2019 epidemic situation, and also reflects the consistency of national culture and ethical spirit in practice. After the outbreak of Corona Virus Disease 2019,the social focus is no longer confined to traditional health and safety problems, and the dilemma of ethics is highlighted.Under the current situation that there are obvious differences in anti epidemic achievements between China and the west, the impact of Chinese cultural ethics on the social behavior of individuals, families, countries and other subjects can not be ignored.Excellent culture plays a profound and lasting role in promoting social development. On the one hand, culture plays a role in ethical coordination and regulation of individual behavior and activities; On the other hand, culture provides the basic ethical value orientation for individual morality and is an important condition for the development and perfection of subject morality. The relationship between different cultural subjects needs to coordinate and ensure each other’s development by establishing and cultivating corresponding ethical and social relations. The epidemic crisis is an ethical test and challenge on how to coordinate the relationship between various subjects. The Corona Virus Disease 2019 epidemic has hit more than 200 countries and regions and is spreading globally. It is a major non-traditional security challenge for countries around the world, with consequences and impacts that extend beyond the public health arena. In order to understand and contribute to the response to the New Coronary Pneumonia epidemic, the underlying cultural ethics and perceptions need to be further examined, given the differences in cultural backgrounds, hygiene practices and socialisation patterns in national contexts, and the differences in national responses to the epidemic. From the perspective of the survival of humanity as a whole, when faced with ethical dilemmas such as right and wrong, individual rights and public health, isolated development and the community of human destiny,it is impossible to separate the reality of the problem from the essential social attributes of human beings. The traditional Chinese culture of benevolence and love for the people and the concept of a commonwealth of nations is undoubtedly the source of the culture and ethics of the community of human destiny, and has provided an ethical solution for all mankind to fight against the epidemic, leading to the formation of a community of mutual help and harmony throughout the world. At the national level, the Chinese government’s effective response and co-ordination,the importance it attaches to people’s lives and its conscious commitment to governmental responsibilities, stem from the integration of Chinese traditional culture and Marxist thought with the times, and from the state’s ethical concern to put people first and the concept of power and responsibility to govern for the people.Looking at this from the perspective of the family and the individual, every Chinese person, despite the hardships and dangers, stands on the front line of epidemic prevention and takes it upon themselves to overcome the epidemic and save lives,a cultural awareness that has been in place since ancient times to cultivate one’s own body and family and to give to all.The Chinese place the small self in the context of the big picture, and are committed to their families,to their country and to others, always with an understanding of the community and a sense of responsibility. This value of linking the destiny of the individual to the destiny of the family, the nation and even the whole human society is rooted in the Chinese concept of family-based social ethics, and the cultural and ethical orientation of the individual developing within the group and complementing it with the group, which is an important cultural trait and ethical connotation of the Chinese nation and a deeper basis for the behaviour of all parties in the fight against the epidemic. The diversity of cultural values has led to countries having their own ethical basis for responding to the epidemic.China’s response to this crisis reflects the ethical thinking of the Chinese people in public health events, implying their unique cultural ethics of benevolence as their own responsibility. This is not only out of responsibility for the health of the individual and for the lives of the public, but also out of the virtue of the idea that all things should be nurtured together and not contradict each other, and reflects the Chinese philosophy of adapting to local conditions, taking appropriate measures and adapting to changes in the face of complex and changing social conditions. The social reality that this study focuses on is that from the outbreak of COVID-19 pneumonia to February 2022.The final outcome of the fight against the epidemic depends on whether the shortcomings of the epidemic can be made up,and therefore the international community, national governments and individual actors all have an inescapable responsibility and a role to play in this new pneumonia epidemic, and the cultural values and ethical awareness reflected in their actions are the ideological foundations that drive the steady development of our society today. The ethical concerns and human virtues highlighted in the battle against the epidemic need to be commended and recognised, but the problems revealed also need to be critically reflected upon.Clarifying the cultural and ethical context of the Chinese response to public health events in this crisis will help to re-examine its inherent development logic in the context of a new era of society, and thus better guide people in their pursuit of a better life.
