The corpus for this interpreting practice is a Stanford course called Data Science and AI for COVID-19.The main contents of the corpus include the internal structure of coronavirus,viral transmission,public health policy,coronavirus survey,epidemiological modeling and drug research and development.This practice report includes interpreting practice introduction,pre-task preparation,interpreting process,problems,corresponding strategies and interpreting practice summary.The recordings,the transcripts and notes of the consecutive interpreting reflect that the problems mainly fall into three aspects: professional knowledge,long sentence interpretation and language output.In specific case studies,corresponding strategies proposed for improving interpretation quality include literal translation,paraphrase,sense-group division,supplemented translation and omission.This practice report can provide some experience and references for the student interpreters who tend to be engaged in medical interpretation and scientific interpretation,and also accumulate experience for the writer's future interpretation study and work.
