A Study On The Revenge Narrative Of Historical Records

Revenge is a special historical and cultural phenomenon.In Chinese narratology,the creation oriented by revenge has formed a motif manifestation form with special value,which is recorded in historical records.According to the author ’s statistics,there are about 60 revenge stories in Historical Records,which are numerous and rich in types.It not only truly reproduces the social fashion and the revenge psychology of all classes at that time,but also presents a wonderful revenge narrative.It is an important part of the narrative of Historical Records,and it is necessary to dig deeper.The text is divided into four chapters.The first chapter probes into the historical evolution of revenge narration in Historical Records.Starting with the definition of revenge,this paper briefly analyzes the origin of revenge and clarifies the development of the early Chinese ancient narrative tradition.On this basis,it discusses the development of revenge narrative,and demonstrates the process and characteristics of revenge narrative literature from obscurity to maturity by using representative works.The second chapter discusses the types and rewriting of the revenge story of The Historical Records.The types of revenge stories are divided into four categories : blood revenge,monarch revenge,interest revenge and self-esteem revenge.Different types of revenge stories and their deep social and humanistic factors are analyzed.The rewriting of the revenge narrative compares the records of the important classics of the previous generation with the revenge characters related to Historical Records,and studies Sima Qian ’s rewriting process of the revenge stories of the Spring and Autumn,Warring States,Qin and Han Dynasties.The third chapter discusses the Historical Records revenge narrative art.This paper combs the creative methods of revenge narrative,such as the use of contrast technique,the structure of seeing the big from the small,the setting of the hero turning over,the supplementary narration outside the ending,and the strengthening of the image of justice.It summarizes the characteristics of language,narrative language and discussion language,and clarifies that the revenge narrative of Historical Records has the characteristics of three-dimensional shaping of character image,fascinating dramatic plot and ingenious tension beauty.The fourth chapter summarizes the influence of Historical Records revenge narrative.This kind of influence is mainly manifested in the influence on the revenge theme works based on historical biographies,novels and operas,and the influence on the narrative techniques of providing character prototypes,paying attention to plot development,promoting the concept of justice,and pursuing the aesthetic connotation.The development of the theme of revenge literature has drawn valuable artistic experience and inspiration.
