Research On Baudrillard’s Postmodern Somaesthetics

Since the new century,with the continuous development of science and technology and aesthetic concept,human beings have entered the post-aesthetic era of aesthetic generalization.The aestheticization of daily life in postmodern society makes contemporary western aesthetics get out of the shackles of speculative aesthetics and turn to the life.Baudrillard,a left-wing aesthetician in France,seriously and deeply thought about the structural changes of the aesthetic phenomena in western society,and somaesthetics was an important part of his aesthetic ideology.Since the 1960 s,Baudrillard has been organizing his somaesthetics framework in the way of reverse criticism,and developing his unique somaesthetics in the new discourse environment of hyperreality and hyperaesthetics.His somaesthetics has the dual value orientation of deconstruction and construction at the same time,which provides a mirror for understanding the postmodern body aesthetic culture.The paper adopts the method of interpretation and evaluation,which is mainly divided into4 parts.The introduction mainly introduces the genetic background,ideological source,paradoxical connotation and research progress of Baudrillard ’s postmodern somaesthetics,which opens up a way for understanding Baudrillard ’s postmodern somaesthetics.Chapter 1 to Chapter 3 explains the main contents of Baudrillard’s postmodern somaesthetics,and explores Baudrillard’s analysis and perspective of postmodern somaesthetics from three theoretical fields of consumption body,female body and post-body in longitudinal chronological order.Among them,consumption body is the key anchor point to understand Baudrillard’s criticism of female body and post-body.Based on Baudrillard’s criticism of symbolic political economy,the chapter 1 describes the transformation of production mode and aesthetic principle of body encounter in consumer society,explains the important influence of mass media on body aesthetic way,aesthetic distance and aesthetic standard,and leads to Baudrillard’s symbolic exchange weapon to counter the dilemma of body symbolization.The chapter 2 focuses on the ideological criticism of gender structure,restoring the artificially prescribed dual structure model through semiotics,and breaking the deceptive myths of female body,sex and gender liberation under patriarchal capitalism.After exposing the defects of Deleuze,Foucault and feminism,the "temptation" strategy proposed by Baudrillard based on female body is discussed.The chapter 3 emphasizes the paradigm reconstruction brought by the symbiosis and interinfiltration of technology and body to the natural body.Aiming at the binary and DNA carnival of the body from "outer technology" to "inner technology",it shows Baudrillard calmly examining the fundamental challenges of holographic technology,AI and cloning reproduction to the body,and reveals the unique value of his opposite sex body escaping capital and technological control.The chapter 4 summarizes the characteristics and aesthetic contributions of Baudrillard ’s post-modern somaesthetics.It points out that Baudrillard ’s post-modern somaesthetics is rooted in reality and eagerly responds to the problems of post-modern body aesthetic alienation and capital control.It shows strong realistic critical characteristics and marginal political pursuit,full of positive forces of resistance and construction,and has the characteristics of reality,criticism,politics,resistance and construction.Baudrillard’s postmodern somaesthetics is based on the calm reflection of modernity/post-modernity.The symbolic body exchange he advocated reflects the authentic anthropological body view that affirates the natural body,which broadends the way of thinking to solve the alienation of contemporary somaesthetics.Baudrillard’s postmodern somaesthetics inherits and surpasses the genealogical somaesthetics established by Aalto et al.His criticism of the post-body aesthetic phenomenon adds a reflective dimension to the post-body turn of somaesthetics,which has a significance in the history of somaesthetics that cannot be ignored.The conclusion emphasizes the application value of Baudrillard ’s postmodern somaesthetics and holds that Baudrillard ’s revelation of postmodern somaesthetics dilemma is helpful to understand and improve contemporary somaesthetics phenomena and develop contemporary somaesthetics critically.Although Baudrillard ’s postmodern somaesthetics has many limitations,how to understand and inherit Baudrillard ’s ideological heritage is an urgent problem to be solved in contemporary aesthetics.
