A Visual Language Study Of Vertical Dynamic Comics

This article studies the author’s creative practice and explores the use of digital art to promote excellent traditional culture by creating a vertical dynamic comic based on the Ming Dynasty picture book “Saint Trace of Confucius”.The final product is a communicable vertical dynamic comic “Saint Trace of Confucius: The Valley Conference”.The contribution of this article is to analyze and sort out the visual language of vertical dynamic comics.Through creative practice,literature review,and case analysis,combined with the graduation design work “Saint Trace of Confucius:The Valley Conference” and existing cases of vertical dynamic comics,the author makes a relatively systematic sorting and preliminary theoretical construction of the visual language of vertical dynamic comics,hoping to provide reference and help for the creation of similar works in the future.
