| Daily life is not only the background of people’s production and life but also the object of action and interaction. It combines grand narrative with micro reality from micro, everyday and diverse perspectives. It is of great significance to study the interaction between people and places, and to examine the utilization of local culture by residents as local subjects in the context of external power and environmental changes from a micro perspective.Local residents are the main body of ethnic village tourism destinations and the creators and inheritors of the "living" social and cultural space of ethnic villages.Existing studies on ethnic tourism villages focus on local residents’ perception, community participation and behavioral attitudes. These studies mainly involve the subjective feelings, perceptions and attitudes of residents towards tourism and other psychological aspects.Relative neglect of their participation in tourism activities when the personal experience,as well as external structural changes produced multiple benefits on the daily life of local residents and their social culture impact. Therefore, this study tries to turn to the micro level, focusing on the power of Miao village residents and daily life under the background of tourism development, and focusing on People’s Daily life practice. This paper selects Qianhu Miao Village in Xijiang as the case, combines the theory of daily life practice, the theory of time geography and the theory of place, and comprehensively uses the research methods of field investigation, activity log analysis and grounded theory. From the perspective of the main body of Miao village residents, the following three aspects are discussed: one is to understand the current situation of residents’ daily life through the daily life path, the second is to pay attention to the action strategies in the production and life practice of residents, and the third is to try to analyze the mechanism of residents’ daily life practice from the local perspective. It shows in detail and reality how local residents,as the host of tourism destination, build the mechanism of daily life practice based on their own resources and existing social relations network.Through field investigation, interview and analysis, the following conclusions are drawn:(1)Temporal and spatial path characteristics of different residents in Xijiang Miao Village.(1)The rhythm of daily life revolves around production and living practices, which are driven by the material needs of society and the growing trend of sociocultural and temporal fragmentation.(2)The overall regularity of residents’ daily activities is strong, and the partial use of fragmentary time structure features; The radiation range of space activities is small, and the long-term activities are mainly production and living, with distinct characteristics of tourism activities.(3)Influenced by external structural changes:the structural changes brought about by the adjustment of political and economic pattern at different spatial scales, such as regional and local, have changed the content of daily life practice.(2)In the daily production and living practices of residents, the spatial discipline of Miao village residents by different power subjects under the background of tourism development: the functions of residents’ native farming space and living space are constantly evolving; The resident identity and role change continuously; The pace of daily life is accelerating. In the face of the top-down discipline of the power subject, residents actively exert their subjective initiative in daily practice with "boycott" tactics bottom-up response. The concrete performance is:through the user’s action strategy, they complete the intermittent right to use the public space;Transform the traditional living space into an inn suitable for commercial operation, and seek their own production and living space through transformation; In the tourism performance, tourists’ consumption practice is completed by replacing the scene of traditional national festivals and weakening the material boundary of rituals.Residents use network media to break through space and time restrictions, making the contact and interaction of Miao village residents extend from physical space to network space.(3)From the local perspective, residents’ daily life practice mechanism is influenced by multiple factors: the driving mechanism of tourism market, the change of external environment, the reshaping of space carrier, the reconstruction of local factors, and the daily practice of local subjects constitute the driving mechanism of residents’ daily life practice. Finally, local culture shaped by daily life practice is the initial condition and original capital for the development of village tourism, and also the life choice made by residents in response to structural changes. With the development of tourism, foreign "resident" groups appear and continuously interact with local residents in daily life practice, thus promoting the reconstruction of geographical spatial pattern, social relationship structure and cultural reproduction. |
