With the rapid advancement of industrialization and urbanization,rural areas are facing a new "three rural issues" in China.The rural development problem in ethnic areas has always been the focus and difficulty of social development.The problem of unbalanced and inadequate rural development is very prominent.The development of ethnic cultural tourism has become an important way for ethnic areas to get rid of poverty.As a basic requirement for the survival of households,livelihoods are a concentrated reflection of the assets,capabilities and activities of the residents.However,the research of the impact of tourism on the three major aspects of economic,social and environmental aspects,scholars has a low degree of concern for the sustainability of tourism residents' livelihoods.The sustainability of the livelihood of the residents is of great significance to the development of families,villages and even the entire countryside.Therefore,how to promote the sustainable development of ethnic cultural tourism and improve the sustainable livelihood of residents is the core issue of this study.The study of sustainable livelihood theory reached its peak in the early 21 st century?It is a method to assess the livelihood ability of residents from many aspects.This paper pays attention to the development of residents' individual and family under the influence of the development of national cultural tourism from a microscopic perspective,which has important theoretical and practical significance.First of all,the paper systematically combs the analysis framework and applied research on sustainable livelihood at home and abroad.Then it summarizes the current research focus and inadequacies,and combines the cultural development of ethnic culture tourism to analyze the relationship between ethnic cultural tourism and residents' livelihood.In minority villages,traditional community organizations still play an important role in community governance.Tourism enterprises and government management levels have a major impact on ethnic cultural tourism,which in turn has an impact on residents' livelihoods.In terms of livelihood results,in addition to paying attention to the three major benefits,we must pay more attention to the inheritance and development of ethnic culture and realize the innovative development of ethnic culture.Secondly,on the basis of constructing the framework of sustainable livelihood analysis of ethnic cultural tourism destinations,the paper constructs a sustainable livelihood indicator system which is suitable for ethnic cultural tourism destinations through index combing,resident interviews and expert consultation.This paper takes Xijiang Miao Village,a typical cultural tourism destination,as a case study.Through preliminary discussion and empirical research on the sustainable livelihood level of Xijiang Miao Village residents,this paper explores how to improve the sustainable living standards of residents and provide reference for other ethnic cultural tourism sites to improve the sustainable livelihood of residents.Finally,based on the discussion on the development of Xijiang Miao Village ethnic cultural tourism and sustainable livelihood issues,the following development strategies are proposed from the aspects of reducing vulnerability and improving livelihood capital:(1)Extending the tourism industry chain to reduce the fragility of livelihoods;(2)Improve residents' livelihood awareness and improve residents' livelihood strategies;(3)Improve the status of livelihood capital and improve the livelihood ability of residents;(4)Implement a standardized business model and strengthen the awareness of tourism services;(5)Strengthen the construction management of scenic spots and optimize the livelihood results of residents.
