The public aesthetic education course in universities is an important course aimed at cultivating students’ aesthetic and humanistic qualities,and promoting their comprehensive development.School aesthetic education aims to cultivate students’ aesthetic ability,humanistic literacy,spiritual quality,and spiritual literacy,and is an important aesthetic education work.However,in the current implementation process of education,there are problems where students only value the learning of professional skills and knowledge while neglecting the cultivation of their own cognition,feelings,aesthetics,creativity,and other aspects of aesthetic education courses.To a certain extent,they neglect the connectivity and comprehensive application of various disciplines,leading to a lack of artistic appreciation and creativity.This article studies the application of situational teaching in general courses related to aesthetic education in universities.Taking the course "Dance Appreciation" as an example,the aim is to explore the impact of situational teaching on the teaching effectiveness of general courses related to aesthetic education.Firstly,starting from the theoretical foundation of situational teaching,this article elaborates on the concept,characteristics,and implementation methods of situational teaching.Secondly,based on the characteristics of aesthetic education general education courses,this paper explores the application methods of situational teaching in aesthetic education general education courses,as well as the impact of situational teaching on students’ learning interest and effectiveness.Finally,taking the course "Dance Appreciation" as an example,empirical research is conducted to verify the effectiveness of situational teaching in this course.Through the implementation of the "situational teaching method" in the teaching of "Dance Appreciation",the following conclusions can be drawn: firstly,situational teaching can improve students’ learning interest and effectiveness,and has a positive effect on the teaching of aesthetic education general education courses.2、 Situational teaching requires reasonable situational creation and teaching design in order to maximize its teaching effectiveness.3、 Situational teaching needs to focus on students’ active participation and experience,and achieve the learning and cultivation of knowledge and skills through students’ independent exploration and practice.4、 Situational teaching emphasizes emotional education and value cultivation,which can improve students’ cultural literacy and aesthetic ability,and cultivate their correct values and sense of social responsibility.In addition,based on feedback from students after class,the advantages and disadvantages of "situational teaching method" in aesthetic education general courses are summarized.It is hoped that the unique features of "situational teaching method" can be better understood,and students’ appreciation ability,creativity,etc.can be improved to achieve the goal of beautifying people,and play a role in the development of aesthetic education curriculum teaching.As a graduate student majoring in dance education,I hope that the "situational teaching method" can play its advantages in the application of dance field and make every effort to promote the scientific development of dance teaching.
