Research On Narrative Chinese Screen Font Design

Chinese font design has been changing with the development of the times.Text not only plays an important role in disseminating information,but also has additional values such as decoration and beautification,and is also a key link in the reading experience,and good font design can bring users a more comfortable visual experience and psychological feeling.The current font design is not clear enough for the definition of narrative factors,and most designers base their design on subjective decisions,lacking objective and rational arguments and data support.It is still a difficult problem for font design that how users choose the suitable font for reading,how designers make scientific design plans according to users’ needs,and how to provide rational and scientific decisions for font design plans to make the narrative process of screen font design more standardized and controllable and provide users with a good reading experience.Based on this,this paper explores the narrative Chinese screen font design method with narrative theory as the guide.This paper introduces the concept of classical narrative,takes macro-narrative and micro-narrative as the entry point of screen typeface design,and adopts Rabov’s "summary-point-progress-response".-Evaluation-Result-Response" narrative discourse analysis method,the macro control of user research,design planning,design implementation and other processes,and to summarize,summarize,calculate the font We summarize,summarize,and calculate the formative indicators of font design,such as font face,font wistfulness,font weight,and center of gravity,as well as the complex indicators of rhythmical narrative and spatial narrative,and build a narrative Chinese screen font design method by combining with the font configuration design method,and prove its feasibility by using Morning Glory bold as the design practice.
