Basic Research On Traditional Mongolian Typeface Design Software Development

In recent years,the traditional Mongolian font design and development industry has received more attention.However,the efficiency of traditional Mongolian font design and development has not been effectively improved.The main reasons are as follows:Firstly,the unique vertical structure of traditional Mongolian characters and complex glyph changes have caused much trouble to the font designers.Secondly,the existing font design and development software does not have a reference to the traditional Mongolian character modeling.Finally,the Mongolian coding content is relatively complicated,and the convenient compilation function provided by the existing font software cannot help the designer to independently complete the design and development of traditional Mongolian characters.It is one of the effective ways to improve the efficiency of traditional Mongolian font design and development to develop a font aided design software that conforms to the characteristics of traditional Mongolian character modeling.In order to improve the efficiency of traditional Mongolian font design,this paper mainly studies the analysis method of traditional Mongolian font modeling based on font design software requirements,the design method of traditional Mongolian font modeling,and the basic compilation method of traditional Mongolian characters.On this basis,combined with the actual needs of font designers,the feasibility and specific functions of traditional Mongolian font aided design software are further analyzed.The study work in this paper is as follows:(1)Understanding the current situation of traditional Mongolian font design and development,and summarizing the problems encountered in the design and development of traditional Mongolian fonts.(2)Learning representative font design and development software to understand software related functions.(3)Taking the traditional Mongolian white font as a sample and referring to Mongolian coding,the methods of glyph analysis and traditional Mongolian font design which are suitable for the traditional Mongolian font aided design software are studied.(4)Combined with the actual needs of font designers and the study results in this paper,the basic framework and main functions of the traditional Mongolian font aided design software are studied.
