| This thesis examines the design of Xincheng ritual vessels in " Huang Chao liqi Tushi " from a design perspective,with a focus on the vessels’ design concept and characteristics as a carrier of the Qing Dynasty ritual hierarchy.The study analyzes the design values inherent in the vessels.The study compiled design-related laws and archival records from the " Archives of the Office of the Interior Affairs Department of the Imperial Palace in Qing Dynasty" and "The Actual Records of Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty".The data is then integrated and analyzed in conjunction with museum objects to provide an in-depth discussion of the design features of the Xincheng sacrificial vessels.The first part of the thesis explores the reasons for the compilation of the sacrificial vessels volume,with a particular focus on the compilation characteristics of the sacrificial vessels volume of "drawing the vessels according to the figure" The second part focuses on the concept of the compilation of the volume of sacrificial vessels in accordance with ancient times,beginning with the continuation of the sacrificial vessel system and examining how the shape of sacrificial vessels was corrected in accordance with ancient times.The third part of the thesis focuses on the characteristics of Xincheng’s ritual vessel design in terms of both quality and text.This section analyzes the material,decoration,color,and design of ritual vessels.The fourth and final part of the thesis discusses the applied,political,and aesthetic values of the differences in the design features of the vessels.Through a comparative analysis of historical materials and objects,the study concludes that Qianlong Emperor’s design of the new ritual vessels was "eclectic" in nature,conforming to ancient ritual orthodoxy while also consolidating Manchu dominance.The design was produced as a combination of ancient ritual and Qing Dynasty craftsmanship.This thesis provides a useful addition to the study of the design of ritual vessels of the Qianlong Period of Qing Dynasty. |
