Analysis Of Character Shaping In Love Themed Movies

Love is an eternal topic for humanity,and movies about love have always been highly regarded.The portrayal of characters in love themed films is an important component of the development of the story plot,which largely determines the theme,style,and ending of the story.Therefore,when creating love themed films,it is necessary to start from the characters,fully consider their personality traits,behavioral habits,etc.,and carefully and vividly depict the characters’ images,so that they can more vividly portray the characters’ images.The thesis is divided into several parts,including introduction,three chapters of the main text,and conclusion.The first chapter is the introduction section.I introduced the background and significance of the topic selection of the work,as well as the research methods and innovative points.The second and third chapters belong to the research section of the project.Summarized and analyzed the characteristics of love themed films,and classified and analyzed the characterization of love themed films from different periods,as well as the love concepts conveyed through characterization.At the same time,a detailed analysis was conducted on how to shape the external image of characters from the perspectives of camera language,scene,and persuasion.The growth of characters was combined with Lacan’s "mirror theory" and "other theory",and a deep analysis was conducted on the character’s character shaping and self growth.Chapter 4 focuses on combining the characterization theory in love themed films with Bishop’s work "I Wait for You in Heaven".Specifically analyzed how the characters in love themed films should be portrayed externally and internally in the film,as well as their growth in such themed films.By comparing the love concepts of two generations,the characteristics of character portrayal in love themed films are explained.Finally,in the conclusion section,summarize the shortcomings and solutions of character portrayal in love themed films,in order to better apply theory to practice.
