"Yu Gong Yi Shan" Children’s Picture Book Creation

In recent years,picture books have played an increasingly significant role in children’s education.Children can understand obscure things through picture books and avoid boring preaching.With the growing strength of China,the task of rejuvenating the Chinese nation is just around the corner.The spirit of bearing hardships in the traditional Chinese stories began to appear in large numbers in people’s vision,encouraging people to make unremitting efforts.Using picture books as a medium to perfectly interpret the national spirit reflected in ancient Chinese myths is helpful to cultivate children’s spirit of pursuing and realizing their dreams.Compared with other complex literary works,picture books are easier for children to understand and provide a path for cultural output.This project integrates the ancient big green coloring techniques into contemporary picture book creation,and uses the traditional book binding method--scroll and organ fold to present the works,so that the traditional fairy tales have a new bearing way,which is more acceptable and disseminated by the public,and the characteristics of Chinese national culture can also be vividly reflected.The introduction part of this paper includes the research background,research purpose and significance of this topic,the development status of Yugong Yishan picture book,research content,research methods and innovation points.Then it mainly introduces the contents of children’s picture books and myths,and elaborates the source of myths,national cultural elements and the content characteristics of Yugong Yishan.It also explains the concept of children’s picture books,the difference between them and illustrations,the classification and application value of children’s picture books.At the same time,the author further analyzes the audience and feasibility of the children’s picture book "Yu Gong Yi Shan".Then I began to explore the creation of the children’s picture book "Yu Gong Yi Shan".Based on the market investigation and the inheritance of traditional culture,I innovated the techniques and book binding of the picture book.The juxtaposition of multiple time and space,artistic conception,the use of ink and brush,the expression techniques of color presentation,the combination of traditional and modern elements and the creation principle of image continuity design provide a theoretical basis for the creation of children’s picture books with Chinese flavor.Finally,based on the results of the preliminary investigation and theoretical support,I began to practice the creation of picture books.
