| In recent years,the structure of Chinese study abroad has been continuously optimized,and more and more international students come to China.According to the statistics of the Ministry of Education,the proportion of foreign students with academic qualifications in China reached 54.6 % in 2019,which was 7 percentage points higher than that in 2016.With the continuous improvement of the quality standard and supervision system of studying in China,how to improve the academic Chinese ability of foreign students is the focus of international Chinese education.According to the research,foreign students generally have academic Chinese writing needs in the process of professional learning.Parenthesis appears frequently in daily life and academic communication because of its special functions such as modal expression,semantic supplement and discourse organization.However,the research on parenthesis in academic circles is weaker than other syntactic components.In order to promote the study of parenthesis and improve the quality of Chinese education for foreign students with academic qualifications,this paper,based on the theoretical basis of pragmatic linguistics and corpus linguistics,uses the literature data method and quantitative and qualitative analysis method,through the self-built general academic Chinese corpus,compares the use of parenthesis in the ’ People ’s Daily ’ corpus and the ’ Writer ’s Digest ’ corpus,and makes a more in-depth investigation on the current situation of the use of parenthesis in general academic Chinese.At the same time,in order to understand the needs of foreign students ’ use of parentheses,this paper investigates the use of general academic Chinese parentheses in the master ’s thesis of foreign students in Yunnan Normal University,and analyzes the inclusion of parentheses in the International Chinese Education Chinese Proficiency Level Standard(2021 Edition),in order to provide help for the teaching of parentheses in international Chinese education.The main body of the thesis is divided into five parts : The first part expounds the reasons for choosing the topic and the research significance,research methods and theoretical basis,and summarizes the previous research.The second part explains the creation process of general academic Chinese corpus,the extraction of general academic Chinese parentheses,the reasons for the selection of reference corpus and related concepts.It defines the general academic Chinese parentheses from the syntactic,semantic and pragmatic levels,and introduces the extraction principles of general academic Chinese parentheses.The third part focuses on the analysis of the common parentheses and unique parentheses of academic style,news style and literary style.From the perspective of structure and pragmatic function,94 types of additive and 154 gestalt general academic Chinese parentheses are classified,and combined with a large number of linguistic facts,the pragmatic functions of general academic Chinese parentheses such as modal function,message function and discourse function are summarized.The author believes that the general academic Chinese parenthesis has the characteristics of relative solidification of structure,integrity of meaning,diversity of form,relative fixation of position and distinct writtenness.The fourth part is the investigation of the inclusion of parentheses in the ’Chinese Proficiency Level Standards for International Chinese Education ’(2021Edition)and the use of general academic Chinese parentheses in the graduation thesis of international students majoring in Chinese international education and regional economy in Yunnan Normal University.The study found that the use of parentheses in general academic Chinese by foreign students reflects the characteristics of rich types of parentheses,high concentration of high-frequency parentheses,discrete distribution of low-frequency parentheses,and the use of literally understood parentheses.The article puts forward corresponding teaching suggestions accordingly.The fifth part summarizes the research results and shortcomings of this paper on the basis of the previous data analysis,and looks forward to the future research direction. |
